Filpulla with a hold on Beagles stick, was pretty obvious.

Terrible 3rd period but it does not matter. They somehow won in Detroit.

Yep. The system isn't a static approach. Obviously the guys are struggling at it but the beauty of it all is, it can be scrapped on the fly and play the old system at any time.

I imagine opposition coaches may have a more difficult time preparing for us in a 7 game series this time around.

They didn't even trust Ovechkin on the ice with a 5 on 5 with an empty net. Amazing.

I had to make sure pigs weren't flying outside. Caps beat the Wings in Detroit. Good to see Ovy, Knuble, and Aucoin score goals. Glad to see Holtby get the start and win.

Go Caps!

We win but I would like to know how on earth you can be on the PP at the end and play a passive dump and chase? Give the puck right back to Detroit. Really?

They have got to stop with the passive third periods. I would've thought Hunter would preach than coup de gras rather than a prevent defense. Really puzzling.

When the Caps are playing well, Hunter's system reigns them in so that they don't do too well for too long.

When they're playing poorly, his system reigns them in so they completely eat ****.

No Joel Ward = Victory!

Sounds like a game plan to me.

The caps are a mediocre team that play fairly well when the opposition's will and puck control isn't that great. Against stronger, more determined, more skilled and balanced teams they routinely buckle. Detroit is one such strong team.
ah ahem!

Great job!

If we can get a point in Philly I will consider this trip a flying success, as I was hoping for five points.
