Logic dictated theo. Dineen went with player instinct. It was against rational, but wtf?

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Clemmer was 3-1-1 against the Flyers lifetime, while Theodore has played every game against the Canes this year, so you can see what he was thinking. Regardless, sometimes you have to be lucky to be good, and both the team, and coach, were lucky tonight.

Theo .. No question there. Clemmer played great, but you play Theo against the DiverWhalerCanes.

Props to Scotty, hell of a game. Also gotta give props to our game plan going in. Flyers definitely had us on our heels for the majority of the game, but I thought we played pretty well defensively, especially positioning wise. This is a classic road win that teams win in the playoffs.

It definitely beats going into Pittsburgh and trying to play run and gun. Winnipeg is a hell of a home team, but they seriously lack the structure and poise to win games on the road.

I think it will be alot closer then that. The Canes have been playing well lately but we should still have their number!

Theo no doubt. Only chance is if Theo was sore or wasn't nursing an injury we don't know about. They've split most b2b games this season anyway. Look for Theo to want to match Clemmer.

Fwiw, our team defense has been excellent since we last played the Flyers. Everyone, forwards especially have been coming back hard and taking care of their responsibilities. We've also been tougher around the net, led by Jovo.

the difference between good teams and mediocre ones is that good teams find ways to win games they have no business winning.

Tonight was a perfect example.

This is a good team.

The defense was awesome in the 3rd per. Clemmer made all the standard saves

Always loved the guy.

Who would have thought that Clemmensen would have had one of his best games of the season after not playing for so long? He single-handed kept us in the game the entire time after the offense got freaking owned. Absolutely amazing! 5 wins in a row! This seems almost like a dream! What an ending. I haven't seen many games this season on the edge of my couch like that until the final horn. It's scary in a very good way that another 2-3 wins in the final 10 games could secure a playoff berth. Just insane

Also, props to Weiss for that sick goal

I'd assume Theodore starts tomorrow and the momentum from tonight's win follows them to Carolina!

I thought Kulikov quietly played a good game. The whole defense did. As Erick said, the shot totals seem deceiving. Sure, Philly put a good bit of shots on goal, but over all they didn't seem to be high quality scoring chances, and most were one and done chances. We did a great job in our own zone. When we had 4 penalties in the first period, the game could have literally ended right then, but it didn't. What a huge win tonight.

I think gizmo was being sarcastic with the question, lol.

Anyway, I, too, thought we limited their scoring chances. The first period was probably the best our PK has looked all year.

John Madden is playing very well for us.
