Dear wings please stop waiting for someone else to score and do it yourself, also hit someone and show some emotion.

It'll help to get Janik off the ice and return the defense pairings to some sort of normalcy. Having to send a GR pairing out for ~14 minutes a night, not to mention his absence and the shuffling forced to the special teams, has been a killer.

Lol. I enjoy reminding the people who feel this current roster is a contender that they were wrong. They got hot a for long stretch and have plummeted back to Earth. It bothers me, in a small way, that fans are literally blind in their loyalty.

Can't wait the 2nd period to start. They will be better and turn this around. 40 minutes left.

To blame this slide on Janik or Quincey is ridiculous. To think Lidstrom will return and fix this is even more ridiculous. Winger, you posted about Detroit's 3rd line (Cleary-Abs-Miller) and the confidence you have in them come playoff time . Yo. You stand by that?

No one's happy about it, but losing the number and quality of players lost at this point in the season, there isn't a whole lot to do about it. I doubt it changes the offseason plans much, which was probably always summed up by: "sign Parise and/or Suter," and getting healthy isn't something that can be hurried along by playing this guy or sitting another guy. It is frustrating, it sucks, just have to hope they play through it and come out stronger on the other side of it.

Just play all the rookies and rest the veterans.

It bothers me that you would rather be right about the Wings being pretenders than wrong.

it is true they are not really a team worthy of competition at this moment.

however, it is also true they used to play at very high level.

This team is garbage at the moment. Its like watching Columbus.

To who said Washington should bring the Eagle Jersey's back I agree. Blue and White Eagle with the black building as 3rds.

I'd rank Caps jersey's:
Eagle
What their wearing tonight
Current unis.

Probably sarcasm, but no. You haven't made a mistake. The first Wings game's always an awesome experience despite the result. I can assure that (well, if it's gonna end up being 10-2 in favor of the Blues, maybe then..)

I was fortunate to see Gordie sign autographs and get a photo of him, that really made my first Wings game special.

Hot for a long stretch like the whole season up until 3 weeks ago? Must have been a fluke

To be fair, even if Holland wanted to fire Babcock, he'd just do nothing and go back to the press a few days later and say that "the right deal wasn't there", "the price just wasn't right".

If we have our blueline back and don't keep losing other guys? Against Nashville? Yeah.

If only Holland had brought in another grinder to fill the roster out. This team might have been special.

they had to fire a good manager because the team became complacent? Or was it purely fan backlash? Or did they acquire a Kyle Quincey?

I think the mites who play during intermission can run a more effective PP.
