Bills need to get a franchise WR for Fitzpatrick. Fitz isn't a great QB but is probably good enough to fake it a little with better targets, IMO.
Fitzie is pretty good but not great, and he does need at least 1 bonafide WR. He makes good plays though, and he doesn't just give up. it's the Grinder version of a QB
With Nelson gone as an option, someone that I think would be a good fit a FS for the Jets would be Matt Giordano from Oakland. He's got good cover skills and decent wheels for a safety. He's on the smaller side of things (5'11), but I think with Rex he could become another Leonhard type of player. He had 5 interceptions last season on Oakland starting 9 games out of 15 he played. With Oakland having Huff and Tyvon Branch, he's expendable for them and he could help fill a void with Eric Smith (Ewwwww) as his back-up.

fitzie is the smartest guy in the NFL by far. IMHO, he's the Ryan Callahan of QB's.
He's a Strong-Side Safety. They need a ball hawk safety now to fill out the defense. Landry to me points towards the end of Leonhard's tenure with the Jets, although, he could possibly come back as a part timer and an insurance policy for the Jets, but I doubt he does that. He might not ever play again, he had that look in his face when he got carted off.
Another guy who I'd like to see the Jets possibly move on is a former CB in Jordan Babinoux. He has coverage in his background and is a good tackler. He's a SS as well, but I think if there is one SS that can move to FS on the open market, it'd be him.
Why the hell did the Jets waste money on signing a roided up linebacker to play safety? Just an awful signing (granted, he'd of been an awful signing for ANY team, really). He'll either get injured or just be not very good. I still find it hysterical that Brandon Jacobs changed his entire career with one play. Dude got HUGE after that truck.

Yeah for whatever reason I thought he was a FS. I would still like to bring Leonhard back, if healthy.

Nelson re-signing with the Bengals kinda forced their hands. Extremely thin safety market this year. No way they could go into the season with Smith starting.

Should have just drafted one. Good safeties in this class.

Very much so, that they don't even need to use the first rounder on Barron if they like a pass rusher better. They got Kerry Rhodes in the 4th round. My guess is they can get a good safety in the later rounds while grabbing a pass rusher with their first round pick. They've needed to get somebody for so long to fortify that spot on the team. Team priorities in the draft should be: OLB, S, WR, OL
