Shaun Rogers is out for the year, blood clot in his leg.

Marvin Austin also going to see a back specialist. It's amazing how battered the Giants become before the season starts.

DT will be fine so long as Joseph, Canty, and Bernard stay healthy. Tuck can fill in as the #4 at times if needed.

Hey, the Cowboys got a 3-0 shutout against my Raiders! Wonder who was in goal for my team?

Shocking turn of events

Quote:
BETHPAGE, NY and NEW YORK, NY – August 16, 2012 – NFL Network and Cablevision (NYSE: CVC), the largest TV provider in the nation’s top media market, announced today that they have reached a multi-year agreement for carriage of NFL Network and the NFL RedZone channel.

NFL Network will make its debut in Cablevision homes beginning tomorrow. NFL Network will be available on channel 150 in both standard-definition and HD for customers who subscribe to iO Preferred, iO Silver, iO Gold or the iO Sports & Entertainment Pak. NFL RedZone, which airs on Sundays throughout the regular season, will be offered in both standard-definition and HD on channel 151 as part of the iO Sports & Entertainment Pak, which is now included in the new iO Gold package, which was launched last spring.

“We know there is significant interest in the NFL Network and NFL RedZone among our Optimum TV customers, and are pleased to have worked productively with the NFL to offer both channels in time for the upcoming season, and for years to come,” said Mac Budill, Cablevision’s executive vice president of programming.

That leaves Time Warner Cable as the lone holdout among top distributors for NFL Network. The two came close to a deal last year.

There's hope for the NHL avoiding a lockout if Dolan agreed to carry the NFL Network which must have lowered their price. Dolan vowed he would never carry the NFL Network as long as the NFL had an exclusive deal with DIRECTV for their Sunday package.

I'm sure all the customers leaving Cablevision for Verizon had something to do with this as well.

I don't know about you guys, but cablevision has been practically begging me to come back ever since I switched.

Just to clarify, the Red Zone channel will not be DirecTV's Red Zone channel.

The DTV Red Zone takes you to a live feed of a game where someone is about to score. NFL Network's Red Zone, which is being added to Cablevision, just shows game-to-game stats and audio game updates with Steve Torre.

I am so pumped to get NFLN and Redzone channel.

Edit: Read the comment above. A little let down now, but still excited.

I've switched from TWC to Fios and I'm not looking back. The only way I drop Fios is if:

1.) They start increasing prices, "taxes" like TWC did;

2.) This was available in NY.

My next door neighbor had a guy from CV knock on his door and say to him, "You said when we have the NFL Network, you'd switch back." He was like, "yeah, so...." and the guy goes, "Well we have it, so you have to switch." And he did, he kept his word. He was shocked the guy remembered.

I don't think that is accurate. The Red Zone Channel that you described as DirecTV's Red Zone is exactly what is available on other cable systems such as Comcast. All the scoring as it is about to happen.

Yeah, you're right. My bad.

But there are are two Red Zone channels. One is owned and operated by the NFL Network and the other is owned and run by Directv.

So I guess all Cablevision customers will get the live look-ins.

These replacement refs suck. That was blatant interference by Wilson on Cruz in the endzone. Wow.

Sanchez looks unimproved and the offensive line is still mediocre. Oof. You guys are lucky you have a pretty easy schedule, but I'd be surprised if the Jets were a playoff team.

I think a lot of it is your O-Line, though, too. We aren't getting much pressure up the middle (expected), but your ends are just FLYING around your Ts.

Agreed. Oh man is this year gonna suck... As a Mets and Jets fan, with an impending NHL lockout, I don't have much to look forward to

And **** the Knicks. Not a fan, but if I was, they suck ass too.
