I need some pain killers and steroids right now. I'm still coughing with an annoying frequency and some prednisone should clear that right up. The pain killers would be for something else entirely and rather painful.
Noo! Explaining the jokes is an art form! First start to tell a bad joke (at bar / at parties). I mean very clumsy and not funny at all, preferably self made. The lenghtier the better. After an odd silence when nobody laughs, start to explain it, like you thought nobody understood your brilliance. Boy those awkward moments are funny!
I guarantee you don't make any new friends nor gals. Made that a lot when I was younger. My friends knew this and they were like ..here we go again. All the other just left the room / table.
Can't wait for Game of Thrones tonight! Only half way through book 3 but really loved the first season on HBO.
Finished Spartacus yesterday. Man, RIP Andy Whitfield. With all due respect to his replacement, he is just not a great actor. Every emotional/motivational scene does nothing for me. Too bad because Whitefield was awesome in season 1.
Have not watched Shameless this season. Will have to watch it. I have been catching up on Spartacus and Californication.

By halfway do you mean you're past Edmure marrying Roslin Frey?
Storm of swords has had the most wtf moments of all the books thus far.
GRRM's tendency to kill off every character once they get in a good place left me terribly frustrated by the end of the last book. he does this EVERY time.
OT - waiting for the new wheel of time book this summer.
Watched Game of Thrones. Was good. Pumped for this season!
As for Spartacus, ya it's a bit of a letdown with the new lead. Not only is he a step down in terms of acting, he doesn't really look the part either. Especially coming from Whitfield where you look at the dude and come away buying that he could be Spartacus. Have to wonder how long it's going to last now. Would have to assume not long. Shame.
Soooo, I'll have to catch up on Shameless and House of Lies tomorrow.

After Meaningless Win - 3/29/12 - Game 77 | SoH-"Who knows, that could have cost us a Cup tonight." | Dooohkay
It starts at MOA where we had the Student Television Arts and Sciences awards. My school was nominated for 4 awards (I was nominated for one), and we won three. (I did pull my weight and win)
After our bunch of 20 or so college students barge through the MOA B Dubs, I catch a ride back with a group of friends, who I was under the impression we'd be going to buddy's house in Minneapolis so he could get his car...and then, we remember something:
The plan was for a friend of mine to go to Mystic on her birthday but she got too drunk the night before, so...we go to SW Minneapolis, get my buddy's car, drive to Mystic (I won 25 cents on my first trip there), and then back to Mankato. This was on top of the drive from Kato to MOA earlier in the day.
Moral of the Story: Just ride on the river of life...it's crazy.
Yeah I know :/ They progressively got better (IMO) from 1-3 then 4 was meh and 5 was on the same level...
That's really upsetting...
I've been so disenfranchised with big/epic series.
I read Dune, loved it, then loved it more, then was ready to call it the best series ever. Then the last two that the proper Herbert (don't even get me started on his kid) wrote just didn't engage me.
I started The Dark Tower, loved book one, book two is still in my top-5 ever, book 3 was good, not great, and I HATED book 4, haven't gone back.
I read some of Wheel of Time in high school, books 1-3 were amazing. I couldn't finish book 4.
Song of Fire and Ice, book one was slow, but set an awesome scene. Book 2 and 3 were roller coaster rides of awesome, and book 4 was downright painful.
The list seems to go on and one...
I'm debating on starting the Sword of Truth, but I don't know if I can handle another let-down series. I'm open to other suggestions.
*edit: forgot to mention, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was a super, super good book. It's not written with a constant tongue-in-cheek, it's written as if it were a history novel. A ton of fun to read.
