Grabovski/Macarthur

The chances of us is under 3% (without counting Boston match) so even though i'm hoping, probably won't happen so I'm wondering the value on those 2 at 2012-2013 T.D so we move up/ bomb for 1# C(Mackinnon).
If Gaustad+4th=1st albeit a sellers market,
Macarthur= 1st, 2nd
Grabovski=2 1sts OR 1st+high prospect
And what would the value be on Grabo+Kulemin for a team that needs 2nd line scoring (Anaheim?) (2nd line is 2 probable retirees and Blake is UFA)

I thought Mackinnon was a winger?

Also, no way is Grabo fetching 2 first rounders. And there's an even less chance of Mac fetching a first AND a second.

Whatever your on may be of interest to the police there buddy.

Grabo should land a first and a good prospect and think we should consider it if Kadri can push him out. I'm really down on MaCarthur these days so a conditional 2nd pick tied to his performance I would be happy.

Neither are very special players and both should be traded for a retool. If Versteeg could be traded, so can those guys.

Could have traded Grabo easily if it weren't for the modified NTC and ridiculous 5 year contract

I don't see 1 special player on this roster, I guess the player I would least like to trade is Gardiner. But you are correct, nothing special about Grabo, Mac, Phaneuf, or Kessel.

Hopefully we will be able to draft 1 if we keep falling in the standings.

Take a look this summer what some players are going to go for before thinking that Grabo's contract was ridiculous. If the cap rises to around 70M, this was a good deal.

Also he has a limited no trade clause, so every year he has to submit teams he would not be traded to. Grabo is fully tradable IMO.

Nope, a center.
Why not? Blackhawks fans that I've talked with have said that they would of went 1st+mid prospect with him UFA status in the off-season and I don't think he will be put CHI on NTC list.
Then change 2nd to a 3rd (Same as Versteeg)
Not a druggie bud.

I believe I said he has a modified NTC, so I didn't need you to tell me he did.....

5 years @ 5.5m for a 60pt (not even, this year) is not fully tradeable... Just because players get paid exorbitant amounts as UFAs doesn't mean they can easily be traded. See Tim Connolly or Ville Leino as examples

I believe he plays center and right wing. He's listed as RW but does play with Frk alot, too, who is a RW'er. I could be wrong but I believe he played RW when Frk was injured

The kid is unreal, seen him many times but I'd be shocked if the Jackets don't finish last next year. 78 points in 58 games for someone who turned 16 right before the season began is damn impressive. Weve only had like 3 or 4 guys in our history have 30 points as a 16 year old (Drouin was 1 point short this year but joined 3 months late). His skating is unbelievable but as a Moosehead fan I'd hope we can get Drouin. We won't be bad enough to get Mackinnon but Drouin should be another guy in the top 10 (if we miss.. again.. ) to go after.

I understand that, but the definition of overpaid vs underpaid depends on the relationship between a player's salary and the salary cap. If the cap goes to 70M, Grabo's cap hit is less percentage of cap wise. I don't think Grabo got a Leino contract, I would say he was overpaid by 500 to 750K, which is meaningless if the cap were to rise.

Lol. Being treated like Boston's ***** has occurred many times this season. Why bother bringing up "trading Grabovski" now? The whole team ****ed the bed like they always do against the Bruins.
