Toskala had more success in a Leaf uniform than Gustavsson has had. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that, even if it does sound asinine. The stats speak for themselves. Anyway, the poking will end in 3 weeks, so don't you worry your pretty little head about it.

With our luck Gustavsson will go to another team and post a 1.95 GAA and 9.50 SV%

I just hope he does not do something desperate this summer...

Burke will do something desperate for sure. His back is now up against the wall and missing the playoffs again next season likely means he's fired.

In all honesty, the only players I care to see next year are Grabbo, Macarthur, Kulemin, Lupul, Brown and Gardiner. Maybe Kessel too if he can stop being such a *****.

The rest of these guys, don't look like they give a **** about winning. No competitiveness. They roll over and die when faced with any sort of adversity.

Has Wilson even given an interview since his firing? The guy has dissapeared.

Minny leading Vancouver 1-0. So far so good but it's minnesota..let's see how long that lasts.

Well, this will obviously happen. Let's just hope he does it with a non-divisional opponent.

With our luck,Nash will come here, but never score more than 10 goals in a year for the rest of his career. Reimer will keep sucking.

Oh,and we will somehow get fined, and will have our 1st round picks taken away for the next 5 years.

I know, i can definitely see it...

I would like the Leafs to make a strong push to package their first to move up and draft Yakupov...
If they were drafting fifth or sixth, i could see them being able to move up...

I want Ryan Murray though...

Maybe, but it'd be a much brighter future. The core we have now is not going to last. Kessel will bolt probably and Lupul would leave for more money unless Burke overpays again. Only bright spot would be Gardiner.

For the best?

Losing to a team for 6th straight time to a basketball-esque score line is never good.

Especially when there are so many of the same people contracted to the team for next year.

Some harsh and very necessary things need to be done in the summer if wants any chance of being competitive for next year.

Rick Nash. It's his only chance for a big splash. Unless he finds some magic way to get Nail Yakupov of course.

It took long enough.

I called it long ago along with a small minority of fans.

Burke is still allowed to continue because they still have the season tix, corporate support and the infamous fan base that is loyal to a fault.

There are even fans who are still in denial, posting how they're not that bad or desperately trying to put a positive spin on things. Oh well....
Yep its really unbelievable how many apologists this franchise still has. This team could miss the playoffs for the next 2 seasons and you'd still have the same crew backing every move the front office makes. These guys are usually the ones arguing against a rebuild and coming up with every excuse under the sun with why it can be done other ways. Sure it can be done other ways but this franchise has been trying those other ways for years and havent gotten anywhere. Its like Mike Keenan said on PTS the other day, this **** wouldnt fly in places like NY or Philly where success is demanded much more. The bar has been set so low by many fans of this team that making the playoffs is seen as some massive achivement. I know after all these years it would be a good thing but making the playoffs in this conference really isnt as difficult as this franchise has made it look since the lockout.
