Is it just me, or is anyone else annoyed by Reimer's post-game interview smirk?

Disastrous loss after disastrous loss he still smirks in his post-game interviews.

I know this could be seen as a good thing, and I'm sure many will praise Reimer for staying happy during this skid.

But for me personally, I want to see players that are emotionally impacted by their performance -- in short, I want to see players that give a ****. When the Leafs lose terribly on a Saturday night, my night is somewhat dampened to some degree.

When I see that grin, it's annoys me, it makes me feel as though he could not care less how the team does.

Wipe that grin off your face and head to practice, James.

It boggles my mind that someone would sit through a James Reimer interview, and focus solely on his smile and not listen to a SINGLE WORD that he's saying.

I know this, because if you actually sat down and listened to the god damned interviews, you'd realize just how much this is bothering him (and the rest of the team, for that matter).

The kid is polite and well-mannered. Don't be clueless and mistake that for him not caring.

Senseless thread.

What's next? Don't like the way Luke Schenn takes a dump? gtfo

This is getting out of hand. Now we're complaining about a players facial expression from a post-game interview? Sorry but people have to stop trying to look for dumb reasons to crap on players.

Complain about how he's unable to move laterally, not about a grin.

Just because he puts on a smile in interviews doesn't mean he isn't emotionally impacted by the team losing. He just tries to carry a positive attitude all the time, nothing really wrong with that. Did you see his body language when he got pulled against Boston? He looked embarrassed. I truly doubt he feels joy over it, he's just one of those easy-going, happy-go-lucky characters.

Good-natured prairie boy. It isn't a [excrement]-eating grin or anything. He's not giggling.

Have we actually run out of things to lash out at?

None of them should even go in for interviews, especially after losses.

I'm not sure why the coaches dont make them sit in a room for 3 hours after each game and break down everything they did terribly (basically watching games over and over).

He does care. I too worry more about his lateral movement than his grin.

Are you questioning James "The Real Deal" Reimer?

This. Does the OP want players to burst out crying? Looks like it.

Then we could have "x player cried, he's soft, trade him for scraps" threads.

I can understand where you're coming from but at least he's trying to be positive. I'd like to see him get mad sometimes though.

The fact of the matter is that "Optimus Reim" still can't really fathom playing for the Maple Leafs. Win or lose, he is as excited as a kid in a candy store because he is a Maple Leaf.

It is the "tank nation" grin.

Would you rather have him post a shutout against NYI and see our draft position drop to we can pick another bum for another year again?

This was a very important game to lose and he did a great job

He's doing what's right for the Leaf fans!
