The leafs may not be very good on the ice right now, but they certainly have a future. many great prospects on the farm team, some very brights spots on the team, but certainly some things that need to change.

I just think he deserves another offseason to try to make changes. It isnt all about what is on the ice right now. There is a reason why someone like AA of the jays gets major praise for building a solid farm team, why cant we give Burke the same praise?
How can you trust a GM who is desperate to save his dream job?

2 of his 3 seasons will in fact end up having lower point totals then when he took the reigns and the other season was on par, for being as bad when he took over.

AA accumulated 1rst round picks, he does not ship them out in bunches.

Oh and for the record , AA also laid out the game plan from day 1 and stuck to it and explained this would take time.

Where the other boasted this was big blue, we don't need to stinking wait, I'm here at the helm and the first order of business was to trade 2 1rsts and a 2nd.

Our Farm systems is filled with 3 and 4th line players and bottom pairing D -man. We have no high end prospects other then perhaps Kadri who Burke really dislikes if you listen to his sound bites about him. He states that he is not ready defensively all the while having arguable the worst defensive player in the league.

Burke has did a good job of convincing lots of fans that he is great!
Our farmteam is full of players that are almost guarenteed to get into the nhl with some possible first line upside. Without having a top5 pick he has done remarkably well.

Biggs and Kadri both have first line upside but will probobly end up being 2nd liners.

Blacker and Percy should end up as #3 defensemen on a good club, with upside of being top pairing but not #1s.

The team is full of quality solid prospects that will hit the NHL at some point. Colborne, Ross, McKegg, Olden, and there are others that should hit the NHL at some point.

He also signed Bozak, Mueller, and gustavsson.

Not to mention his amazing trade of beauchemin, ledba.

He hasnt done great, but he doesn't deserve to be fired.

I wonder what he is going to do in the off season with all these bad contracts? So many 3-4 mill players who are playing like ****. Liles 5 year extension, Luke Schenn 5 year Extension.... thank god Connoly is only here for another year. He sais he doesn't like giving out long term deals but look what he has been doing lately.

Seguin is just another good player on a stacked team. No team pays special attention to shutting him down. Kessel on the other hand gets double teamed on most nights, and triple teamed vs the Bruins.

The only person in our entire farm system with a skillset like liles is blacker and we need more then one. I have no problem with either deal of schenn and liles.

Schenn may be on the way out of this team.

Blacker? You mean the 16 point AHL Juggernaut?

The guy that is a mere 1 year younger then the likes of Eric Karlsson.

That blacker?

when you finish in the bottom 10 of the league for 4 straight years and about to be 5(4 under Burke) it's pretty hard not to have a better prospect pool.

That would give even more cause to keep liles.

And I never said he was an amazing prospect, just that he is the only puckmover we have in our system so im totally cool with the contract to liles.

Top prospect in our system: Jake Gardiner

Marlies have a bunch of 2nd liners... where is the top quality you are talking about? 2012 is where the truth lies... Burkie MUST grab a top three pick.

At the end of the day its a results oriented business and the results show one of the richest NHL teams and the Leafs are about to officially become the ONLY team not to make the playoffs in a Cap World. That is not going to sit well with ownership, and games like this one are just a complete embarrassment.

Rogers/Bell inherited Burke with the purchase and so have no loyalties to him as he was not their choice nor hire, and therefore will not hesitate to replace him in due course without the results improving soon.

It's okay guys, we've made it to step 2 of a 3 step plan:

1) Get Wilson fired for not giving us a winner.
2) Get Burke fired for not giving us a winner.
3) Get Bettman fired for not moving a winner to Hamilton.

I am sorry guys, but after 7 years - it's the only way. We can do it!

Its hilarious how bipolar this fanbase truly is. Everyone wants a tank but when we lose, everyone starts to throw burke/kessel/whoever under the bus. You want a tank? Here it is, right in front of you. Tank nation hash tags all over twitter, yet when this team loses, you ****ers whine like you didn't expect it. Its like those last 2 wins gave you some sort of hope.

And for those calling for Burke's head, you do realize even if the fans somehow get Burke fired, MLSE will bring in another guy who can do it there way.

I don't know if you read this forum daily, but some of us were saying there were problems in Sept-Oct when we were winning, not all of us drank the koolaid, not sure what you are talking about with that generalization "everyone".

I don't think Montreal, New York and Tampa Bay can match your level of awfulness. Enjoy that high draft pick you tanking masters
