It amazes me how much lower this franchise can go. I thought the 09-10 was the lowest point, yet it just gets worse.

Seriously, he's not a miracle worker and IMO most of the blame for this loss, and the collapse of the team down the stretch, needs to fall on the player group as a whole. Enough blaming the coaches and management for everything.
And remind me who exactly is in charge of putting together this player group?

Remember Kessel helped them finish 29th that year. We could likely be watching Taylor Hall/Hamilton/Knight. The Kaberle+ deal for Kessel would've been a steal.

You're right, he's not a miracle worker BUT what he promised to bring to this team (remember?) he has failed miserably on.

four years, four bottom ten finishes, one bottom three. He doesn't believe in 5 year rebuilds.

Burke is responsible for the players so ultimately it is his responsibility. I'd expect Burke to own up to that if he hasn't already.

I get that. Foot in his mouth and all that. But realistically, what could he / should he have done so differently? He inherited a mess, and believe me it's better now. Case in point, we actually have some depth in the organization now. Look how good the Marlies are.

Yes. He overpaid for Connolly (Connollys agent must be laughing his ass off) and because of that contract Grabos agent had Burke by the nuts.
