We're not talking about defense, you said he's at best average offensively which is off-base. Derek Morris nowadays is an average offensive defenseman. Dennis Seidenberg is an average offensive defenseman.

I respectfully disagree on the defensive aspect where you say he's nothing but a liability--he certainly is below average in his own end, but he's not Jack Johnson either. I get it, you don't like him, that's fine, to call him average offensively is just ignoring the facts.

Sell him short on the defensive side all you want, but you're just blatantly ignoring facts if you're going to say his offensive game was average.
His offensive game means nothing if he's giving up more than he produces. He was never impressive to me, regardless of points. He never was a very good powerplay quarterback, didn't even have a great breakout pass. I don't even know where his points came from. Certainly wasn't from tip ins from the point, because he couldn't put a shot through a wet paper towel.

i'm gonna translate a bit, plz keep in mind that it,s a free translation :

No Call From Molson

The Rumours are running arround again and we are not done , we'll hear about all crazy stuff with the Habs who will finish their season soon .

The latest rumours assure that Roy is already under contract with the Habs and they are waiting for the Ramparts to be eliminated to make the official anoncement of the deal .

The ex allstar Goalie said that it wasnt true, when asked on thuesday morning.
Show me that contract , he said , b4 saying that it's nice that people seeing him as Montreal's next coach, but all this makes me laugh .

Idk what's going on, i never had any calls from Mister Molson . when i hear that the source is reliable it's only showing me how the medias are stupid sometime

It makes me laugh and i'm happy that my name is out there , but at the end of the day Mister Molson makes the decisions about who will coach and who will be the GM .
if Mister Molson is happy with M. Gauthier he will keep him in place . the same for Randy Cunneyworth.

When we ask Roy if at least he got a call from Mister Molson, the answer is : no

Last time we talked was on Nov 2008 when his nomber was brought up to the rafters and i assure you that i didnt sign any contract that night .

You say you don't know where his points came from yet you seem so certain he was no good at outlet passing and no good at skating it out of the zone and no good quarterbacking the power play. Great arguments.

The one and only thing I'll agree with you on is that Liles' shot was nothing to write home about. Lacked power and accuracy for an offensive defenseman. But I suppose he made up for that by taking so many. Hey, it was still more accurate than Morris's, so there's that.

More accurate than anyone on our team now, I'd guess as well.

So, basically, we just want the other two games to end in regulation tonight? Right? Maybe we want Phoenix to win over Dallas as the Stars have a game in hand, but does SJ/LAK really matter to us? Just don't go past 60 minutes, in my opinion.

I think all we can hope for is for the teams still in it to beat each other up in regulation, yeah. Mostly it's in our own hands though, there aren't too many scenarios (if any) where other teams can really do us favors.

Technically we have to choose one of the Pacific teams to win the division since it's inevitable. Them all trading wins and loser points isn't helping anyone.

I pick San Jose.

So I want them to win out the rest of the year (except against us).

So tonight I guess.

Phoenix over Dallas (Though either team in regulation is okay, it's 'bad' either way)
SJ over LA in regulation
Colorado over Calgary (obviously)

and just because..

Columbus over Chicago

Man, at this point, someone just needs to take over and run away with the division. They're all within a point of each other(Dallas and Phoenix with 83, LA and San Jose with 82).

Did anyone really expect the Jackets to beat the Hawks?

Looks like we will be 7th, 8th, or golfing

If Calgary loses tonight they're pretty much a non-factor anymore. It turns into 4 (or 5 if you include Dallas... which you should, but it's interesting and I'll explain why) teams vying for 2 open spots and 3 spots in total.

The interesting thing is the Pacific division leader isn't a sure thing. Therefore it's guaranteed that at least two of San Jose, Los Angeles, and Phoenix makes the playoffs. Colorado aiming to be the one of two that takes the 7th or 8th spots.

How exactly did you deduce this?

Why not Dallas?

Beating the Flames wont eliminate them, but it will make their chances a lot less.
