He kept the same lines for this game and switched it around after it was 4-2 and they pulled Niemi. Coaching wasn't the problem here and neither was Niemi. Their problem was their puck play was terrible and they sucked at covering in their zone.

Did I actually hear that the Sharks have gone 18 games in a row without scoring more than 3 goals? You won't win many doing that.

Anyone else get the feeling that Curtis Brown is REALLY mailing it in tonight?

Offense wasn't too bad tonight, they started off well and as mentionned got bad with the line shuffling, but the real problem was the D. Sure the whole team was overall lazy but you can easily look at our goals against and see how positioning was awful, Braun-Murray didn't do well and Vlasic made a rare mistake and stopped skating on the breakaway, letting Perry score and the game changed from there on.

However, some of you guys are so negative it's ridiculous. Why would you want us to suck the rest of the way. The team played bad tonight. They've played awful at some other times in the year as well, as has just about any team in the NHL. However, the prior two games, we saw what this team is capable of. The law of averages wasn't in our favor and I'm confident we'll have a better game tomorrow night and win. Making the playoffs and winning the division is much more desirable than not making the playoffs. Even if we don't win the division, I feel we could be good. Sure teams don't often win the cup when low-seeded, but there's bound to be one every now and then right ?

I'm out. Parting comments: Sharks D, which has been a real strong suit of late, really let them down tonight. Way too much time spent out of position and not getting the puck away quicker, resulting is needless turnovers. Momentum starts at the backend and the Sharks were never really able to get it going.

I hope not for Crankshaft's sake but we all know that the only thing that will happen is Colin White will see time if they decide to bench one of the two awful d-men.

I'm no fan of Niemi, but he's right. You can't pin this one on him. You can pin it on bad D. However, you can say that he didn't do enough to keep us in the game (and often it's not just keeping you in the game but giving you a boost with a big save). Greiss did.

Exactly, it's the players and coaches for not taking Ana seriously.

The best part is that the post game show keeps showing the Sharks in 9th when they're in 10th. lol

Straight denial by the post game crew.

Anyways the Sharks need to stop losing. I'm running out of ideas on how to **** my avatar up everytime they lose.

Well in a week we've had 7 out of 10 possible points, not worthy of wrist slitting IMO, you shouldn't destroy it like that after the stretch we've just had, a bad game doesn't need to make us forget the four prior ones.

Wow. Looking at the schedule, they don't have any more 2 off days. They have two more back to backs and a game every other day. Havlat needs to make it up to the team and volunteer to play 50 minutes a game. Just play on all the lines. He should be fresh right?

Which is constantly the story - he rarely makes the big save, Greiss makes quite a few of them.

Oh for sure. If it was a loss against any other team he'd maybe have a cig or two. But it's the Ducks. **** the ******* Ducks.
