Tiebreakers - From NHL.com
1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the shootout.
3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.

“We are looking at these ten games like a playoff series,” said Stars captain Brenden Morrow. “We want to win game one.”
His comments don't even do anything for me anymore. So many times he has gone and said we've got to be better, or we're going to be better, or we're going to win (or in this case want). So disappointing.

I know im thinking toooo far ahead but if we do win i'm confident of our chances against Vancouver.

it will be the second night of a back to back for them after a tough match in chicago and the 3rd game in 4 nights.

Hopfully we catch a tired nucks team and sneak another win over them.

A win against Phoenix tomorrow can really launch us. COME ON STARS!!!!

A lot of Kari tomorrow please. we win 3-1. (with an Empty netter).

Stars lose 2-3. Everybody reacts like the sky is falling (like all the time.) Then they win 6 of last 9 games and they are in playoffs. Mark my words.

Goals tonight: Wandell, Goligoski.

I have a feeling we lose tonight, too. But also that we'll make the playoffs.

Just have to wait and see...

Burish back to the 4th line, no more Pardy.

There are no excuses here. This is pretty much our best possible lineup and they've had plenty of rest. All on the players to perform.

Sheldon Souray will have a major impact on this game. Hopefully a good impact.

Just have to start quick and not let go. Phoenix has started well in every single game against Dallas this season. Can't afford to get behind early and expect to come back again.

Have we tried
Ott-Benn-Ryder
Morrow-Ribeiro-Eriksson?

I want to see that if we lose this game.

By the way, it's been 7 and 1/2 periods since we've had a powerplay.

29th in the league in PP opportunities. Luckily Phoenix doesn't get much more either.

I just wish we had a competent power play. Getting interior, making them collapse to generate screens and lanes... And shooting more! Shooting is good.

Even a middle of the pack PP like Ottawa's would put us 15 goals higher and probably an extra 4-6 points out ahead of all these loser-point teams.

Had a car accident last night, hydroplaned into a pole, figured that was better than the braking car in front of me... Today has already been a ****** day so a Stars win would really be great.
