Klein was in no way at fault for that goal is the point. What is he supposed to do? Get horribly out of position as to not potentially have his skate in the way so a fluke shot doesn't bounce off of it?

not blaming him. simply saying we are at a minus 1 in goals with the 2 plays

so let me get this straight. Oil throwing pucks on net and driving to the net while the Preds are playing dump and retreat hockey, and the Oil are up 2-0.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

I wonder if we are now the answer to a trivia question. I can't imagine that there are any other teams that both darcy hordichuk and wade belak have played for and scored against...

You guys do know we always suck complete ass the first game back from a long road trip dont you?? Saw this coming a mile away...

This game has been one big fluke so far. If Preds keep up the energy I think they get back into it unless the hockey gods continue to give us the middle finger. And of course we score as I type this. Preds are fine.

Just gotta get behind by two before this team will start playing. Actually they controlled most of the first, just two bad breaks on the Oilers goals.

So... Legwand just hopped over the wall, skated to the bench door, and walked back through the tunnel? What? Did he feel like he needed that extra bit of skating to get his legs under him or something?

That was a great period for us, ignoring the score. We needed a good start to a game badly.

I'm not even worried about their two extremely fluky goals. We were the better team that period. Don't say that too often.

Thought it was a fine period; why are people calling for Trotz to nix the current lines? You have a total fluke goal then another that wouldnt have gone in had Erat not decked Rinne with Sam Gagne. Otherwise we cycled well and did ok. Not fantastic, but the Oilers are not as bad as their record indicates. They have a lot of great forwards, but theyre inconsistent given a fair amount of youth. When theyre on, like tonight, its going to be a battle regardless of their standings.

It's funny though to see us get all bent over struggles against Edmonton. Makes you realize how the league leaders felt in 98-04 against the Predators, they should have had it easy against an expansion team full of scrubs, but Nashville always came to play and frustrated the heck out of the league.
