Art Ross race officially no longer interesting. Two new interests: One, does Malkin hit 100 before anyone hits 90? Two, can Malkin actually catch Stamkos, who's gone super cold, for the Rocket Richard?
My god, I hope so.

I don't remember what section it is, but they sit in the lower bowl behind the goal in the end where the Pens shoot twice. They're right on the aisle. You really can't miss them, they have people coming up to them and shaking their hand and asking to take pictures with them on and off all game long.

haha chill guys I'm not a freakin stalker.. I sit in 104 and I was at the game last night and I thought they sat around 107ish. Couldn't find them though.

I just need to get a high five from Mr. Malkin, perhaps?

I just figured you were asking because they'd be cool people to watch the game with. I mean, wouldn't they?

I just wanted to use that funny picture. You better believe when I'm at next Sunday's game I will be looking out for them to get a picture.

Season isn't over yet, no reason to lock it unless Geno has another 5 point night tomorrow.

Oh how I would love to see that... I'm just messin', but at this rate (hell, even if Geno is at half this rate) it's a race for 2nd

If only that 5 point game is actually a 5 goal game. Then Malkin really DOES have a shot at the rocket....or Stamkos can be held off the scoreboard against the Isles tomorrow, Pens roll out with this line all game.

Crosby-Malkin-Neal

Malkin can get 3 goals against Anderson, and 2 against Brodeur, and be tied at 50.

Wow.. I haven't been following Tampa closely for awhile. It feels like Stamkos scored his 50th like 2 weeks ago. He must have hit a cold streak. I think he'll heat back up and Malkin will catch him, but man Geno has a chance to make it real close

He's been scoreless in the last four despite averaging over 24 minutes a game.

from what I hear Stamkos has an injury. Nothing big but slowing him down it seems. Malkin will need to be bloody lucky to catch him. Personally through I want Malkin to catch up to him and share the rocket. .... and even better if he scores the tying goal in the last game on a empty neat. Make him remember he did the same to crosby .. pay back

That would be good, but I'd prefer it if he just passed him outright and won it by a few goals. When people look back on it it'll look like Geno had it all along

One thing to keep in mind. Tampa Bay is for all practical purposes out of it. Their entire goal will be to have Malkin not catch Stamkos so that they have something to hang their hats on. Similar to a player having two goals late in a game already decided and everyone is feeding him the puck to get him that hattrick. That will be TB and Stamkos the rest of this year. It will make it very hard for Malkin to catch him.

The thread title says "race". Races have more than one person in them.

Meh, if Stamkos is within 10 by next Friday (after the Pens home and home with the Isles), then I'll maybe, sort of think about thinking about worrying.

EN goal for Geno tonight gives him 46 on the season one away from his personal best and 4 shy of 50. He also had an assist tonight against the Devils making him 3 points short of 100 for the season. Keep it going Geno Malkin!

My only question is whether he equals both marks on Tuesday or Thursday. My guess is Tuesday . . . at home + Islanders + pre-game borscht = happy Geno.
