Parsons is a potential 1st rounder BUT he is a late birthday not making him ranked until 2016...myself I think he will be a first round pick in his year if he keeps developing.....Tower has to grow to be ranked, he has the skill though.

Missing Travis Konecny (Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs). Its likely he goes 1st in 2013 OHL Priority Selection Draft if McDavid gets exceptional status ...or when he gets it

I believe he is a late birthday making him eligible for 2015... I saw an interview on the U17 site..

Saw few games off Aleksi Saarela at C-SM playoffs. I don't know how he compares to other prospects outside of Finland but he's very very skilled, with amazing vision, elite shot and he is very smart. His two-way game is excellent aswell, very usefull at the PK. Hard to say how early he will be drafted but he's one of the best junior players for years from finland. He is listed as 5'10 but looks actualy shorter.

Had 25pts in 8 games at playoffs as a underager when 2nd has 15pts in 8 games. At this point pulkkinen was considered as top 2 prospect for his draft class so it's interesting to see if Saarelas developement will continue with same pace.

well i stand corrected and he is right in my own scouting territory LOL, makes my face red LOL....well I would say with that extra year he could possibly be a 2nd round player to a 4th round player...depends on the style of game his team uses him at...he is a smooth player, controls the play, very good passser and gets in shooting position well, sometimes he oes not always take over like he should in the game...he has a lot of potential that just has to be tapped...he is one you really have to wait on to get better reads of him..myself I think he is one of those guys who will be a better QMJHL player than a Midget player.

well that is the thing about putting up list this year, everyone knows it is not going to hold up to the way posted right now, things will change you are only giving a list for right now, not next year....thing will change big time, there are players that will not develop for another year or two who we do not even know yet, people ranked high right now that might have topped out in talent and get no better, even for scouts just in the course of a year our list change big time from even half way through the year till end of the year.

Even if these lists will be change a ton during the next 3 years, they're always a good read. Julius Nättinen is brutally underrated around here though.

If we do talk about LHN draft for the 2015 then we must to talk about 3 players late from Midget AAA Quebec. Greer et Deslauriers (CEB) Richard (T-R) are very betters than the Quebec forward 1997 which is on this liste. Me too, I do like Nicholas Roy (Forestiers) very better than the forward 1997 on this liste.

This is my opinion

Aleksi Saarela is about 5'9" right now... I hope he makes it to 5'11-6' or else he'll be going the same way Teemu Pulkkinen and Toni Rajala did. That being said he's above and beyond what either of those two were at his age... Lukko is a pretty weak team... His draft year is 3 years away but I bet he plays a handful of games in the SM-Liiga next year (2012-2013) and if he's good enough he spends all of 2013-14, and 14-15 with Lukko full time like Barkov did (meaning in the Men's leagues).

Problem with these guys is they are so good for the Jr C and then they play with bigger guys and they just get manhandled.

OH and scoutman1 is Noel definitely going to the QMJHL during the 2013-14 season? Is he staying with SSM next season or would he go to the QAAA or even the USHL?

I think Nättinen will pull a Granlund and take over top prospect from Finland closer to draft day...

To scoutman1, how would you describe Aleksi Saarela, and do you think he has it to become the next big Finnish prospect?

What happened to Pulkkinen and Rajala isn't really a testament to their small size but rather shortcomings in other areas. Short guys can go high in the draft if they are well rounded. If Saarela stays at 5'9 though... Hope he grows My guess is that he splits time with Jr A and B, if he debuted in SM-liiga next year that would be sick... I doubt he will, he would be the youngest player ever to do so?

Saarela is good both ends of the ice and does the little things right as well as have big time talent...I think he has the potential to be the next big time finnish prospect, and I think because he is not one demensonal he might succeed up to the time of the draft if he keeps on his curve. People do not realize that you can have all the offensive skill in the world but if you are not able to do some little things that make you better than your normal offensive wizards and to me Saarela does the little things.

well he would stay in Shattuck next year, he is not from quebec so will not play QAAA he is from Newfoundland so he would have to come back here and either play Jr A hockey or go back and play newfoundland Major Midget...he will stay in shattuck for next year...as for him going QMJHL us as scouts only talk to players the year of there draft...so all i can do is assume being as good as he is he would pick the QMJHL route to fast track his career.

Well Sasha Barkov became the youngest player to score a point in the SM-Liiga this year on October 1st at the age of barely 16.

So if Saarela made a debut say like January and scored a point it would depend...

Sasha Barkov and Nathan MacKinnon both are borderline 2014... that's how young they are.

Barkov: September 2, 1995
MacKinnon: September 1, 1995

It rests that they will do for the 2014••• it is the same like I did said for the 1996 late Greer, Deslauriers et Richard. There can not be one 1997 in the province de Québec who is the mesure of one or the 3. If no, I did not juge well in the saison. (I do think I do the good work)
