Would really like to hear an extended post game presser with Noel about this one. One thing I want to know is why go all river hockey on the Pens? I assume that wasn't the plan so who what's up with the breakdown in communication? Not exactly in October anymore so batten down the ****ing hatches if you want to be serious about a playoff run.

Jets seemed to act like HF Boards in the 3rd period...no composure, all panic. Really sucks.

Pittsburgh didn't spend their way to get to that level, just got incredibly lucky with the draft picks

Man are the Pens good. Malkin and Crosby ate us alive. I will hold on to hope until Friday's game against the Caps. If we win clean I will have another cup of kool-aid and keep on believing. If we don't I will spend my free time researching potential draft picks, and get into debates on who I think we should select with our top 10 pick.

The Pens are a scary scary team now that they are healthy.

Anyone still think it was a good idea to dress Clitsome over Jones?

Don't see how this is warranted.. What free agent could we have picked up in the insanely short time frame TNSE had after buying the team?? This topic was beaten to death earlier in the year. Its a BS argument cause Chevy and TNSE hasn't even had an opportunity to pick up top line talent.

Someone should start a thread on the main board saying that the Pens should be fined for having Crosby on the third line. It's just not fair.

So we need to suck for most of a decade and have 5 straight lotto picks?

Not denying they got real gems. But when it came time to pay up to keep them, they did it without question.

We'll see how it goes during the off season, but I expect Chevy to do more waiver signings.

Burmistrov has been very average in the past few games, he's clearly not ready for this level. A year or two in the juniors/ahl might have done him good.

That was not a playoff team.

Fixed.

I dont get it. Our offense seemed to be producing fairly well today. Four goals is pretty good against a team like the Pens...it just seems that they tear apart our defense when they play us. I get that the penguins are a great team...but there is no way that they are Four Points better then the Jets. not a chance.

I just don't think they came out playing like they wanted to win enough, you know? 8-4 was pretty pathetic.

for me I'm just happy the team is back, but in order for the franchise to succeed, they'll need to start winning hockey games and start getting into the playoff rounds.

Its still possible that this Jets team will make the playoffs, but it is also possible that this team could finish tenth or eleventh.

I think if the later happens, Chevy is going to have some tough questions that will need answers and will have to make some hard choices about who to keep and who goes.

This will be the time that we find out whether Chevy can really hack it as a GM or not.

This game was disappointing, but I'll start worrying if we lose against the Caps.

He was unbiased. The Pens deserved all the compliments he gave them. The Jets lacked team defense tonight.

In an ideal world, Burmi would be our 3rd line shutdown center, playing a similar role as Schenn/Couturier in Philly. He's not ready for 2nd line center duties yet and in the last few games it seems like he's been holding Kane back a bit.

The entire Pens core has been drafted or acquired in a trade the Pens are one of the best examples of building from within, this makes little to no sense. They are an extremely well run operation they draft well they make excellent trades and they make smart cost effective FA signings. Dishing out cash is that last thing that front office does.

Not sorry if I come off harsh on this issue but I'm a huge Jays fan and all the Rogers is cheap and is killing the Jays stuff has been killing me for months.

Nothing really. Just offering some unbiased comments on the dominance of the Penguins. Some people just directing their anger in the wrong place.

Yeah he wasn't really that bad. I'm just constantly annoyed by him for whatever reason.

Agreed. Kane not getting much help from his line mates but what can you do, not many better options/
