I love their fans, and I have quite a few friends who drive there for when their teams play them. Apparently it's a great atmosphere, and a lot of them are pretty nice. They dont take it as seriously as us Canadians and are generally more ignorant of the rules. I'd rather have those fans than no fans.
Just sayin'
Yeah when my baseball team traveled to Nashville to play a few games last March it just so happened that the Oilers were in town. So me and quite a few of my teammates went to the game because almost all of them had never seen a hockey game before. I loved the atmosphere and so did they, it was awesome. They had various chants they'd do after every time they'd score it was pretty cool. I'd also never been to a rink except Rexall and I was blown away by there being escalators etc. haha.
We got worked pretty good of course but Eberle scored and I swear I was the only guy who jumped up and yelled Ebs in the entire arena lol.
Real strange then that anytime Hemsky has got going this year its been on a line with Gagner.
Might want to rewind Gagners contribution to 3 of the goals tonight as well.
Eh, I'm a Gagner fan, but I wouldn't give him too much credit for any of Hemsky's success. A lot of that seems pretty circumstantial. During the Phoenix game, Hemsky was essentially going on his own. He showed some chemistry with Teemu more than anything. Also, saying "anytime Hemsky has got going this year" leaves you with way too small a sample size. If we are going by the logic of giving credit for at least a part of Hemsky's success to his linemates, then Hartikainen would be the guy you give more praise to. I don't mind Gagner, and here's hoping he'll enjoy another uptick off of a two point performance tonight, but Hemsky isn't really benefitting from Gagner so much as Hemsky is benefitting from the presence of a solid oak banger and crasher and Gagner is benefitting from a rejuvenated Hemsky.

Gagners had different stints with Hemksy this year. Periods where for whatever reason Hemsky upped his game. I'm not arguing causality and how could I? But its interesting just the same and Hemsky has never looked happier this year. Don't discount Gagners a very positive guy and I imagine easy to get along with on a line. Unless you're Omark..
I've been giving Harti huge praise all night, not sure how you missed it.

With how poorly Gagner had been playing anything that is not a negative is a positive right now. And for those posters who really need to feel validated it means exaggerating to the point of praising him for simple, hockey plays. Hemsky is driving that line for sure and Harski is the engine that propels it.
Dubnyk was solid but he seemed to have some puck luck tonight with a lot of missed nets and some good D clearing the lanes for im, he was very average despite the big save numbers IMO.
Yeah I was not nearly as impressed as some people around here seem to be.
And can anyone dispute that he's the worst puck handling goalie in the entire NHL? What the hell is with this guy? Every time he goes and gets the puck behind the net I am like "Oh god just leave it... LEAVE I---AHHHHHhhhh... Phew.".

I'm not saying you're underestimating Harti, I'm saying you're overestimating Gagner. Hemsky also looked good for a brief tick when he was playing with Gagner and Hall. But the combo of Gagner and Hamsky has fizzled at other times (like with Omark, whose skills were redundant on that line - I still see him as bottom six skill, but I still believe that has a value as well). I think the reality is that Hemsky's game improves with the presence of a demonstrative winger. Imagine if Hall moved to Centre (you know, cuz that's what Mess did...) and Harti rode shotgun on the left. I could see that line being fairly difficult to contain.
-the RNH-Eberle-Jones was owned all night by Suter/Weber
-I love Harti's grit
-another gem from Hemmer...DEPTH is key to success and hopefully Hemsky provides it next year
-Dubey was great tonight..nice to see
-hung on in the 3rd...the Preds are an excellent team
