We could have had 3 1st round picks if Gauthier would had played his card better in the case of A.K. to Nashville.

He was a superstar with like 8 goals who floats all game waiting for a one timer. Some here were expecting to get malkin in trade. Buh bye 6 million dollar anchor.

Sounds about right , 3 mill and a second rounder, how's the holland guy doing?
Will he make it ??
We can all get around to Bouque's play next season, doesn't really matter anymore for the rest of the season.
i'd like to see him have a good season nx year, he's lazy, so i won't hold my breath.

Leblanc has potential and hockey smarts, he's just too light and still young. Needs to put on some muscle and maybe spend some time in Hamilton.

At this point Camm's reputation far exceeds his value.

Fans value players on reputation. GM's value players on actual current form and ability.

At $6M per (with more seasons to go) and being injury prone, and maybe a 20 goal, 45 point player now and no physical presence, the value is alot less than you might think.

i think PG doesn't look to win trades and make big ones he likes to lose them and stay conservative

But his value was already pretty low since he spoke out against the team. It would have only increased the longer PG held out and other teams got desperate enough to overlook his terrible time on Montreal and actually pay full value for his reputation as a sniper and playoff hero. That last part, I think, would have played a lot in his value.

I'm still not entirely sure Leblanc is going to be more than a good third liner, he doesn't have any real strengths to be a scorer at the NHL level. Still think he's better than this though, shouldn't be in the NHL.
I have no idea what type of player he should be. He's not a pure goal scorer, he doesn't hit much either. At least from what i've seen of him in the Q he was a creative playmaker. He hasn't done much paymaking with the Habs. Maybe the game is too quick for him at this point? Definitly should go in the American Leage.

NEWSFLASH: Besides the 1st line NO ONE damn near everyone stunk it up this year. That's what happens on a BAD team. Good players undeproduce. Having said that. The deal was bad. Especially when you look at the timing. Cam is a small body but CAN score. Bourque is a big body and is USELESS... If he's so easy to trade, why has Calgary been shopping him for months and still no takers? A guy who scored 27 goals in each of the last 2 seasons and no one wanted him?

Cammy, regardless what you think is a pure goal scorer. Is he small? Yes. Is he soft? Yes. Then why surround him with other small, soft players? My issue is more with management than it is with Cammy because the team was built so stupidly.

The perfect ending would be 0-2 until the last minute of tha game, RC pulls Carey for an extra attacker, and Cole scores in the dying seconds.

I like leblanc, but if he can't crack top 6, what use is he to the team going forward.
He's not a big frame, not a lot of gritt. The team needs to keep adding size and gritt
to the bottom six. He may become trade bait over the nx season or two if Eller pans out and moves into top six.

The weather is great. The golf courses will be in great shape soon.

Why bother ? 4 months of holidays. Who could ask for more with all the money they have in their bank account ?

So to clarify the trades:

Gaustad + a high 4th for a low 1st.

A Kost for a low 2nd + a low 5th.

So I'm sure had we thrown in a valuable pick like a high 4th, we could have landed another 1st. Honestly our trade is pretty close to Buffalo's trade.
