Very happy about this. Nabakov in net for one more year with Poulin and Nilsson in B'Port sounds like a very ideal plan.

Haha, we'll hire Mitch as the GM. We'd have the most long winded explanations for personnel moves in the league.

The afterglow of this move has yet to wear off for me. Very pleasantly surprised how good of a deal it is for the organization.

Extending Nabby and having him NHL game ready from the get-go means we have a legit shot at grabbing a #8 or #7 seed. Even if we have the same mopes in the line up.

Wang must know there will certainly be a lockout next season. It's the only way he'd spend on this.

Nabby must have had no offers at the deadline and knew his worth diminished as he saw what little Roloson and other UFA goalies up there in age got. It's the only way he'd come back to this LI circus.

Nabby is a good regular season goalie but has choked in almost every BIG playoff and Olympic game he's ever played. I'd never want to go to war with him.

That said, I'm shocked and happy he's here for next season for the stability and being better than other NYI goalies.

(oh how the standards have fallen )

It's nice that after the whole scandal last year that he actually WANTS to play for the NYI.

He's a good guy to have.

He's obviously going to hold out because he doesn't like it here.

Great! This won't be a problem on LI so we have the right man for the job!

He's not any worse in the playoffs than he is in the regular season.

It's just another case of HF logic like Mark Eaton teaching NYI how to win a Stanley Cup

Solid move and it makes the deadline less of a failure. Very happy with it only being 1 year as when goalies fall they tend to fall fast. I would not mind having Poulin and Nilsson sharing the backup role/ starting role in Bport next season. I do not see the need for Toyota especially with DP always lurking in the corner trying to crap on the goalie parade.

This team still desperately needs to upgrade the top 6 and top 4 if they want to sniff the 8 seed next season. Remember that being the 8th seed means you are an average team and we are still not at that level after 5 years of Snow/Wang. Snow is good at dealing with guys who have played here and would make a good assistant GM as he knows how to negotiate RFA deals. He is still clueless on how to do the other 75% of his job.

Do you see Reese and Reasoner as the long term (2 or more years) answer to their respective positions?

I can see Reese as a 6/7 guy for a couple more years. He's really not awful at all. No drop off since he's come back.

Reasoner can go, obviously.
