This should be Jesse Niinimaki's first game as a Roadrunner tonight. I'm not sure if he's going to get much ice time but hopefully he grabs a point in his first game for Edmonton...
Here we are almost 2 hours before the game and that stupid Danis vs. Ellis argument is starting to resurface, i haven't participated in it all, but i'm sick of going through the game thread the next day and having to read through that crap, nothing personal with the posters involved, but let's give it up already!

Je comprends que ca peut-etre frustrant, celui qui defend toujours Ellis vient du board des Stars alors c'est normal qui le defend, fait juste pas t'en faire avec lui, d'apres ce que je vois, les statistiques ne mentent pas, Danis a un bien meilleur debut de saison que Ellis, mais il y a 82 games, peut etre qu'ici un mois ca sera le contraire, on sait jamais...

Lately I've only been defending him in a 1-0 loss and when people were ripping him already after giving up the first goal in the next game he played. Like I said, if Danis starts tonight, its a moot point because you people won't have anyone else to blame if a loss happens

I've been disappointed with this team from the first game of the season. Makes me happy RDS isn't broadcasting the games, I'd be depressed watching them play so badly game after game.
This team is very young. They are going to show inconsistency and are going to go through their lumps. Some organizations like Philly and the Sens have loaded up their AHL affiliates with NHLers, but the Habs refuse to let their NHLers, like Dags and Ribs, take AHL spots away from their younger prospects. The Dogs will be competitive, but they'll be a middle-of-the-pack team this year and won't likely repeat as North Division champs. Right now they are just going through an early-season slump, still trying to adjust to Jarvis' ultra-defensive system. Also, key injuries to d-men like Komi and Cote have hurt.
