We also feel that adding Kessel and Phanuf will replace both Z and Nik, Bozak will add some great youth scoring and Reimer will solve our Backup goalie issue and can take some of the work load off of Jim Howard

Im sorry but this trade is disgusting. But, if it suits you guys its alright just wanted to put my view out there.
I'm getting equal parts back and I improved depth wise and got a good goalie for a no use goalie
More even than you think at first glance although kind of odd considering I'd say it's a better "win now" package for Toronto. And Toronto is apparently rebuilding lol
These trades are getting out of hand. If you have a rebuiling team, why move a 2nd year stud for more unknows and a guy that won't change squat on one of the youngest rosters in the league. If Taylor Hall is available, wouldn't you benefit from actually telling the rest of the Gm's that he's on the block so you can start a biding war... just saying
Regarding the TML/Wings trade, Zetterberg alone is worth two overhyped/overpaid players but it's not as bad as the one mentionned above.
That's the biggest prob with the bad deals, they come out of left field. No one sees it coming, then everyones mad bc they know they could offer more haha

With all due respect, I disagree with half of this I think that Phaneuf brings more offense to the table then Krowall does so in essence they are equal I also think that right now Hudler is not as good as Bozak and Bozak has way more potential the other parts I agree but as the GM I just traded with said" you have to give some to get some"
I agree, although Phaneuf is 4 years younger than Kronwall and Kessel 7 years younger than Zetterberg. So to that end they aren't that far off IMO
But def an interesting deal considering the team who got older is rebuilding and the team who got younger is prob goin for it haha
