Yea but, if your rebuilding your kind of supposed to get younger. Ok I agree with some that was said but in the short-term the Leafs won the deal. Also the Leafs will never go far anyways
Haha yeah kinda surprised me cuz now I'm wondering if the Leafs are gonna start popping off other deals to improve immediately... or continue rebuilding
Looking for a cheap(money wise) top 4 D man. Detroit 1st, TB 2nd, Canucks 2nd, all picks/prospects, and some roster players available to acquire one. Pm me!
The Lightning made another spalsh today acquiring a veteran presence for the top 6. They made a deal with the Detroit Red Wings that will send Daniel Cleary to Tampa.
Daniel Cleary
Tom Pyatt
Nikita Kucherov
Pyatt added such amazing grit to the bottom 6, but we couldn't pass up getting Cleary (a very clutch player late in the year) for the next few years. We are also sad to see such a natural talent in Kucherov leaving the team, and we wish him luck in the Detroit system.
Welcome Cleary:

paul123 said at the press conference they are sad to give up so muck for Backstrom but a #1 goalie was what we were looking for the whole game and as for JML we are happy for the return
One quick conversation has lead to swirling interest that Evgeni Malkin could be available in St Louis.
The Blues are weary to trade Geno considering the price they originally paid, but are open to dealing the MVP if the right deal comes along that benefits this team. Blues management is heading out for awhile. They ask all interested managers to PM their best offers. All will be considered. If one comes up that benefits the Blues, they will open up negotiations.
can we just get rid of NTC, like if a guy like Malkin is being traded their is no reason a guy like Liles needs to have to waive, I become quite annoying having to write an essay about why a player would waive

I agree. Seriously, instead of having to wait for Liles to waive a LNTC to Van, can't we just post? I think it's pretty clear Vancouver won't be on his list of teams he wouldn't accept a trade too.
