I don't know if I should just go with a wrist shot and hope that everyone else is really bad, or just see what my slap shot is like now. I used to have a good slap shot (for my age group) back when I was 12, but kinda abandoned it for years.

I've actually devoted some practice to mine in recent years. It's completely Jekyll and Hyde, though - sometimes it looks good (and like I know what I'm doing). Other times, it just feebly slides along the ice.

Last time I used my slap shot regularly I shattered some blades (and this was after developing a wrist shot and not using a slap shot for years). I think I'd be too scared to use it for fear of wasting a $50 hockey stick.

Maybe instead of a shootout at the end we can have a hardest shot competition. As I have no shot to speak of, I can judge.
I have FULL gear this time. Suck it, HF!!!

F***those sweatpants!!!

If I went with that like last time, don't stop letting them fly on my account. My fault I didn't bring enough gear. Personally, I don't agree with suing people when it was clearly your fault, but there are ******** out there.

I never played ice hockey, but I figured out how to raise the puck with a slapshot this summer. I'd say my slapper is somewhere between average and middling.

Get McIlwain on a plane?

I may have some friends coming out to watch assuming the bar is open. They're a little iffy without the booze (I know I know). But would be good if someone more reliable, preferably from here would come.

My parents (picking me up at the airport and we're heading straight there) and my uncle are coming out too. We'll have a bigger fan club than last time!

I'd drag my Dad onto the ice if I wasn't so concerned his hip would explode.

I don't believe so...I did at one time know his wife, girlfriend at the time, quite well...we worked on a lot of group projects at UNBC together haha...needless to say my moves were shot down somewhat quickly haha...

Sure thing. Just give me the heads up so I know how many bodies to expect, and remind him to bring cash.

SO I got good news and bad news guys. Good news I played street hockey as goalie for 1 hours and 15 minutes and my knee felt great. The bad news is my friend TheGourmet might come as my +1...to be honest he's kind of a dick. But we'll see game-day if my other +1 can come. It's a waiting game right now. So psyched for next Saturday though.

Didn't think it was possible for a post to be as odd as kevinsane's, this one just might be, though.

I'm pumped for next week!

That's quite the list you have there. 19 skaters and goalies for both nets?

Yee haw.

And 12 bones for an organized game-ish scenario? [Borat Sagdiyev]Niiiiiiiiiice.[/Borat Sagdiyev]

As much as I'd love to attend, I gotta bow out of this one. Didn't realize it was Thanksgiving weekend and I'll be back home in Vic. Have fun everyone!
