Steve Kouleas and Craig Button just had a nice little talk about Callahan on That's Hockey Tonight. Kouleas said he thinks Callahan is the 2nd best American player in the league behind Parise. Cally is a monster, he does everything.
Rangers are starting to get lucky breaks. That's a good sign. Henrik with his best game in weeks.
Really was an entertaining game. With tonight's Knicks game, it made for one exciting night.
Staal's breakup of the 2-on-1 was huge. He had a nice rush in OT, and He also made a nice play on the goal. Probably his best all-around game in a while. FFS keep it coming, Marc.
Go Preds!!!!!!
Got that right! I think I wore out my remote's "last" button switching in between the two games during stoppages!
Does anyone else notice that Gabby's M.O. when entering the zone with the puck is to attempt to skate through 2 defenders and lose the puck? I've seen him do it too many times to NOT post anything about it.
Overall, I'm just happy we won!
I audibly complain about this every game. "WHY does he always try that!? It NEVER works! Does he think somethings going to change?!"
I thought Boyle had one of his better games last night (outside of the faceoff circle) but with the way Zooks is playing he needs to play with guys who will not botch every scoring opportunity he creates. If they can get one more guy who can finish sometimes with Zucc and Ani that line will be productive. obviously, BB is not that guy and some of the strong work is being wasted.
There are a few things each game that we automatically know the answer to. One is the Gaborik thing, another is when someone is skating down on a 2 on 1, they make a beautiful pass to the other person skating down the opposite wing, only to find that it's Boyle who automatically shoots it wide
they love that crisp pass to the doorstep. only problem is, some of the dummies try it when it's impossible. the 2 on 1? i loled when you said that, because you're right, whoever has the puck is always looking pass. someone could fly a helicopter down and drop a brick wall between the players and they would still pass it and scratch their heads after the puck bounces off the wall. it's amazing.
Been trying to take my good buddy to a game for a while this season but it was tough to find one
At fist we were going to go to the Chicago game where we got lit up in the 1st...but it didnt work out
Then we were going to go to the Pens game, the night crosby came back and the pens put on a clinic
Finally, we actually got tickets for Last nights game and needless to say, i was ******** my pants because all my previous picks were disasters
I'm so happy we ended up going to this one instead of those other ****-shows...great win and I had a greaet time!
I almost went to the Chicago game, I couldn't make it for a large portion of the first quarter, by the time I could go we were down 4-0, so I just went home. Glad I went to Monday's Devils game.

You know what I've noticed a lot? The rebound that gets kicked out to the other side where...no one is waiting.
I know we are always trying to screen the goalie and/or get deflections, but sometimes it would be nice if someone would set up on the other side so they can get a rebound once in a while.
Yeah, as much as I love Gabby I'm pretty sure I've never seen him stickhandle successfully to split the D. Best case scenario is that he's able to dump it to the corner and somebody gets it and we set up in the zone.

haha you are correct sir. it's frustrating to watch. i'd like to see Gabs planted right in front and while Richards and Hags are passing and trying to make plays, anything that bounces off the goalie or slides in front Gabs will knock home. but i always see him on the outside, passing with everyone else and the puck slides out and....uh no one there.
We get enough posts by idiots up there that any Rangers-related main board posts are generally awful.
There should be a rule that every board member has to select a favorite team for their profile, and you aren't allowed to start threads about that team on the main board.

Good goalie. That is why rebound is controlled to the "open area" where no Blueshirts can be found. It is no incident. Hank does the same things when he is on - either gulps the puck in or directs it away in the area where only Ds could move it further out. When goalie struggles he gives so called "juicy rebounds". Ty was good.

Yes, I understand that. It's the juicy rebounds that I'm talking about. If we have someone on the opposite side once in a while, we might get a few more goals.
