Russo did mention today one of the hold ups on Gui is that his agent has other big name clients who he is having contract talks with. Russo alluded to Crosby being that other client and I'm sure after the last few years those negotiations won't go smoothly.

I've done a complete 180 on this topic....Now I think we gotta get Lattendresse back into the fold. Sure, there is always the injury risk...but with the UFA pool as week as it is, we need to have a guy like him in the line-up to start the season and just hope he avoids the injury bug.

Lats' agent is also Crosby's agent? Oh my! Crosby's agent speaks with Crosby, and Crosby is a good friend of Parise. Therefore, we're gonna get Parise!

Sorry. Was having a Pierre McGuire "connect the dots" moment.

Seriously though, Russo has egg on his face right now.

No, Philly is self-proclaimed. We don't claim to having a Minny sandwich. That M-word even hurts to type.

Exactly, one is a state and one describes the size of a sandwich invented in Germany. Hardly the same. No one says the M-word and gets away with it.

Come over to the dark side. We have Minny burgers.

Actually I made little bite sized jucy lucys this weekend that were fantastic. Each one was maybe 1.25 oz of beef.

I actually had a full size one but made tiny bites for my kid. They are little cheese-filled meatballs more than anything.

Hey...maybe I could make meatballs filled with provolone, then sprinkled with parmesan and broiled so it's crispy...

I got to quit derailing threads with that.

Why I (GopherState) do not like the term "Minny":
1. No one in my experience uses it as a nickname in the Twin Cities.

2. It can mean either Minneapolis or Minnesota and no one ever tries to distinguish the two.

3. This has nothing to do with Guillaume Latendresse. Sorry Big Bear.
