Hell no! Last thing we need is Henrik getting hurt in a fight he's just going to lose anyway.

Henrik isn't the guy who should be fighting.

Have Kassian go after Keith, if he can't get to him *cough*coward*cough* then just beat the snot out of seabrook and then go after Keith again.

I'd have settled for a similar "check" on Kane or Seabrook. Two for the price of one if suspensions are handed out.

Pseudo-sarcasm aside, Henrik fighting wouldn't have done a bloody thing positive. At best he's still not tough because he loses a fight, and at worst he's hurt too.

I don't think Sedin should have fought. I am not certain he should have played, either of them. In what is a meaningless contest Daniel recieved an injury. It isn't at this tome known what the extent of the injury is. Perhaps he is concussed. Ballard has been gone for weeks with a concussion. What if Daniel is, too?

If there was ever going to be a time for Henrik to hulk out, it was when he was standing with Bolland. He could have given out the beats but it is just aggravating the problem, which is teams think they can run the Canucks.

A Captain fighting is a bad precedent for this team. What if Calgary sneaks in? Does Henrik fight Iginla or let everyone down?

If this was the toughest team the Canucks could muster, there is a problem going forward. The Captain fighting is only a symptom of Second Round Syndrome.

Oh gosh no, the last thing we need is for Henrik to break a hand or hurt a shoulder. Then we'd be really screwed. A nice spear on the other hand...

No.

Henrik may be too classy for that garbage, but Bieksa should have had no problem kicking that hillbilly's ass.

absolutely not, the last thing you need is a second sedin injury

but what in the **** were the other players on the ice thinking after they see keith cheapshot daniel with a major-league elbow? tony gallagher just ripped into alex edler for basically looking emotionless when it happened and having no heart or hockey sense whatsoever, and i'd agree it's rather strange for a big guy like that to witness that event and have absolutely no human response

as a big player, you really shouldn't have to be taught that if a teammate goes down due to a blatant cheapshot, you go after the aggressor, especially if the teammate is a friend and a critical member...not sure why this has to be taught

If he doesn't fight, I at least want to see him be assertive in a scrum with an appropriate partner. Seeing him let go of Bolland almost....ALMOST made me sick. I would have thrown everything I had at Bolland if I was him but Henrik is so calm it's frustrating.

Ya, I don't think Henrik getting injured would be a good move at this point....or at any point. Someone else with less of an impact to losing would have been great!

Ohlund didn't need to know how to fight in retaliating against Koivu. Got five games (I think) for it, but notice that nobody on the Wild team (which had guys like "The Boogeyman" on it) went after Ohlund in subsequent games involving the teams.

No, they just used to bully and beat up the rest of our team and the only guy we had fighting was Cowan.

No.

But if he's going to take 4 minutes in dumb penalties like he did I wish he would've used them to cross-check someone in the face.

This would make as much sense as Kane or Toews fighting Bieksa.

I want Henrik to fight Kane, or someone else who he wouldn't get his ass kicked by.

Also, the Sedins may not play like goons, but I bet they could hold their own in a fight against a player their size. I'd be much more worried about Mason Raymond or Chris Tanev getting into a fight than Henrik Sedin.

Well anyone whose fought on ice knows that balance is probably the most important skill you can have for fighting, so yeah I think Raymond may be in some trouble.

Henrik doesn't have to fight, but it would nice to see him cheap shot somebody.

No. The last thing the Canucks need is one Sedin out with a broken melon and the other out with a broken hand

If they are referring to his goalie interference penalty, it was a weak call. Henrik barely touched him as he skated by him behind the net.

Tale of the Tape:

Duncan Keith 6'0 200lbs
Henrik Sedin 6'2 186lbs

That's small. I think he looks way heavier then that.

Depends what site you use.

hockeydb = 192
NHLPA = 186
NHL = 188
Eliteprospects = 190

Okay, so maybe 189 then? Still pretty close to 186.
