Watching Blues-Kings. Coliacovo seriously hurt. Seen this before. Jaden Schwartz looks awesome

Here's to hoping that he makes Chris Stewart expendable, so we can acquire him in the summer.

Would look great on Spezza's wing.

I can't believe this is the same Brian Elliot that Ottawa had a couple seasons ago in the playoffs.

Good to see him do well though.

Some Blues fans want to get rid of him from what I heard so he might be available in the off-season.
Definitely agree he is te kind of player we should go after. Would not overpay for him since he's been underwhelming in St Louis though.

Indeed. He's really underachieving in St. Louis. Pietroanglo was fantastic in that game. I think he played the entire 5 minutes in overtime and got a ton of touches of the puck in all situations. He's almost Karlsson-like

As much as I love Karlsson, I think I like Pietrangelo more. Pietrangelo isn't as good offensively, but I like how rounded his game is.

Its close. I think Karlsson's prime is going to be better but longer term Pietro is the better option. Karlsson's skating sets him apart. It allows for him to take way more chances than anyone else and because of that, he's going to put up the better numbers.

In my opinion if Cowen develops well, we don't really need a guy like petro. The kid is great, but I think it is easier to find his type of player compared to Karlssons type. Karlsson, if he keeps his play ip is a rarer find, at least IMO.

But to have both would be incredible! We need cowen to have that sort of development. Lol.

Bad exit from Ottawa, trade to the Avs and had a bad end to the season as a key component to their high draft position. Clicked with the Blues goalie coach, and did a ton of off season work to address problems and get in the best shape of his life. Classic case of bottoming out and rebuilding yourself to something better.

To be honest, I sat watching that replay over and over again, and it seems clear to me that Sedin's shoulder hits Keith's head not his chest at all. The forearm and bicep hit the chest but the shoulder makes direct contact with his chin driving his head back into the glass.

I'm not commenting about the dirtiness of the hit or the response, that's just my take on the actual hit: it was a hit to Keith's head.

Whoa.

I just looked at the standings, and didn't realize that Florida was 2 points behind the Bruins.

Everyone was talking about how being 7th sucks because we'd play the Bruins. Could you imagine us staying in 7th and still playing the Panthers instead of the Bruins?

I don't think there are very many defensively elite 50+ point defencemen in the league.

The Bruins have been horrible since at least the All-Star break. They're just in a division where they seem to own everyone else, especially those helpless idiots in Toronto who lost all 6 against them this year.

But coming back to the Bruins. Pre All Star, they were the highest scoring team in the league and the third best in goals against. Since the All Star break: 20th overall in goals for and amazingly 4th last in the league in goals against. They have the second worst save percentage in that same time span and their special teams have been very nearly an embarassment.

I firmly believe that they are going to get their ***** kicked in the first round. There's no reason to fear them despite the inexplicable belief that winning the Cup last year somehow means you have just as good a chance the next year.

Does that consider their 8-0 win over the Leafs though?
