I have to go back to the first and second periods. Where was the intensity? Where was the will to win? Where was the willingness to break the curse?

This team deserved to lose tonight. The 29th placed team in the nhl thoroughly outplayed us.

Shootout gimmick.

The only time an 18-year-old can make a trusty veteran goalie look like a sieve.

Makes the game respectable.

It could be worse, I guess.

At least we didn't blow a 3-goal lead at home.
At least we didn't get destroyed by Montreal.

Also gained a point on Boston? Glass half-full?

5-1-2 in our last 8! Can't stop believing..............

Edmonton sucks but I'm totally jealous of their top line talent. They've tanked so much that they're going to be pretty damn good soon.

We just want to make sure we lead the league in losses after regulation to troll hfboards some more when we make the playoffs.

Well that sucked. Spent way too much trying to be cute tonight. Dumb drop passes, bad turnovers and no skill in the shoot out. This team is trying to make me crazy. Losing to the 29th team in the NHL playing the second of a back to back that went to the shoot out the night before. Pathetic.

Geez, I think Kopecky has a role on this team but it sure as heck isn't as a top 6 forward. Matter of fact he looked awful on the 3rd line as well. 4th liner is all he is and all he ever will be. Someone please explain to me Dineen's logic in thinking he is a go to guy?? I don't think I have ever seen an NHL player with a worse pair of hands. Giving him ice time in the 4 on 4 OT after his performance tonight is unbelieveable to me.

Kopecky literally led the Oilers on a breakaway tonight. I'm not sure if anyone caught that. He was skating toward the neutral zone and out of nowhere, he passed it back without even looking. It wasn't a scoring chance because the Oilers player (whoever it was) wasn't expecting such a dumbass gift of a pass.

Not to mention the other turnover that could've easily cost us the game. Good thing Theodore robbed Nugent-Hopkins on that one.

Edit: Oh yeah, he also missed an empty net, Olesz style. Empty net, shot it right back to Dubynk's pads on the powerplay.

The only realistic reason for his and Steeg's massive ice time is that Dineen has a huge mancrush on both of 'em.

Realistically, I doubt we even need 5 wins to make the playoffs. Unless every single team we're battling with gets hot all of the sudden. In which case, let's win all of our games...

I wonder what percent of shots taken reach the net. This team gets a ton of shots blocked.

Don't be foolish. Versteeg is still one of our best players so that "mancrush" is at least understandable.

As dumb as he might be sometimes, he's still one of our most productive players. He needs the ice time. He'll snap out of it. This isn't his first idiotic stretch of the year.

Once again, they were looking for an easier way to win this one. It didn't work. I hope Dineen let's them all have it. Still, another point closer. Almost done, boys!

When this team figure it out? We're a blue collar team? How many teams did they pull up in the zone looking for a cutesy pass when they had a clear shot? My jaw hit the floor when Flash (bout to change his name to pull-up) pulled up on that break away. Drive the net, shoot the puck!! It's been all season, we can't do that **** in the playoffs!

Our next game is a must-win, imo.

3 points in the 2-game homestand and I guess I'd be content with that.

If we don't win the next game, it will be nervous time.

Of our final 7 games, 5 are on the road. Including 4 consecutive after that Islanders game.

It's usually tougher to get points on the road and that's been the case for this team, as well.

Beat the Islanders, we're at 88 points with 7 left. I'll take that. Don't ****ing lose that one.
