Good for Hamilton. Absolutely deserves it.

As for Kadri, well...hopefully he can stick this time.

I hope they play well, and Kadri can produce... But I hope they don't ruin the tank

Maybe because you should call up people who deserves it? Imo Hamilton would make a great 3rd liner in the NHL, yet he's never gotten a chance.

In every Marlies game I've watched either live or on TV this year, he's outworked both Colborne and Kadri.

Isn't Hamilton the captain? What happened to the let the Marlies go to the Calder Cup plan?

Leafs aren't making the playoffs, they'll send him down again for the marlies first round I'm sure.

Should of called up Zigomanis

Good to hear Hamilton is finally getting his time in the NHL. Best of luck to him.

Kadri better in the top 6 or I hope Burke trades him to team where he can play in the top 6 consistantly in the NHL.

Marlies have plenty of capable bodies at the moment. If anything will let a couple of the OHL guys who are out of the playoffs get a game or two in before we flood the marlies with even more players.

Must be an emergency recall because the Leafs don't have any left.

Don't need to get your blood pressure elevated over everything that happens.

Good for both of the players.

Having them up for a couple of games will be good for both of them. They can take the experience and positivity with them when they get sent back down to the Marlies in-time for the AHL playoffs.

Allows Olden/Broll to slot in for Marlies.

You realize the coach decides who he wants in the lineup right? Carlyle has called them up - not burke.

As we've seen over the past few weeks, he's quickly trying to get a look at all of the potential roster players he has.

Emergency recalls haven't been known to stick with the big club...

They do but it is rare and really is considered going over the coaches head. It is not highly thought of. In fact in a lot of cases it is the minor league coach who makes the call on who goes up when a player is needed.

People need to realize that the needs of Dallas Eakins are not > than the needs of Randy Carlyle. The Leafs could be the worst team in the NHL and the Marlies the best in the A, but if the Leafs need a callup, you send the best suited player, no matter what

About time!

I won't be disappointed if Kadri does so well he ruins the tank job. I could see Hamilton pulling a Boyd Devereaux though lol.

It's a roster move, so it's done by the GM. I'm sure Burke and Carlyle discussed this, likely with Eakins, but it falls under the GM's duties.

Nice to see Kadri and Hamilton get a look. From what I've read Colborne hasn't played well lately(and he's a centre) so I don't mind Hamilton getting the nod instead. D'Amigo or Mueller is a better argument than Colborne right now IMO.
