UFC Undisputed 3 coming Feb. 14th 2012, Demo released 1/24/11

Quote:
UFC Undisputed 3 Arrives January '12, with:
New Submission System;
Notorious PRIDE Rules Mode;
Fighter entrances;

Two new featherweight and bantamweight weight classes; and,
Massive 150 fighter roster!
Quote:
UFC Undisputed 3 will mark the debut of PRIDE Mode, enabling players to fight for the first time in the renowned Japanese MMA organization. The mode will include official commentators Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros, authentic environments and notorious MMA rules, including the ability to execute soccer-style kicks, head stomps and ground knees to the head. Finishing an opponent will be more important than ever through devastating new moves, responsive striking controls, refined visual presentation and the introduction of a brand new submission system. In addition, players will now enter the Octagon with a choice between traditional and simplified gameplay control options, enabling them, regardless of skill level, to experience the intensity of UFC and nuances of MMA combat while executing simple standing strikes or more complex ground and transition mechanics.

Players will also experience the excitement of a live UFC event through significant visual improvements, including the introduction of much-anticipated fighter entrances, new camera positions, improved facial animations and a gritty, high contrast appearance. They will enter into battle with an unparalleled choice of more than 150 playable UFC fighters, including talent from the newly added featherweight and bantamweight divisions
Pumped for the Pride mode.

Sounds good.

Didn't really like 2009 or 2010 though, the fights seem too robotic

Not gonna buy it until they either change developers or completely re-do the striking (which is so ****ing terrible).

Hopefully they make the Career mode a lot more interesting / fun. Keeping up all those attributes got so tedious. Pride mode will be fun though, hopefully they get that crazy Lenne Hardt to do the intros!

They should definitely make the training more like EA MMA. You have one gym that you train in all the time, and as you get a bit better / more well known, you get invites to other gyms that you can spend your earned money to fly to for more training and learning new moves.

I liked 2010 except getting out of a sub by the computer is basically impossible.

I thoroughly enjoyed both 2009 and 2010 until I played EA Sports MMA, now I have trouble going back to the Undisputed games. I really wish they could refine the gameplay to be more like the EA Sports MMA game, but with the UFC license.

Wow. Pride mode is going to be a ton of fun. Only a few omissions (Vovchanchyn, Fedor, Arona, Sakuraba, Barnett) but they probably can't do anything about them. They did a great job.

How can you have a pride mode without Sakuraba?

I'd much rather have a more extensive UFC roster.

Agreed. Not that I'm anti-Pride, I just think it would make career mode more interesting to have way more fighter depth.

Is this list official? Why would Gabriel Gonzaga be in the game?

Yep, it's official.

No Gustafsson, Mitrione, or Korean Zombie.

I noticed they also took out Bonnar. Also missing Overeem, Hendriks, Lee among others, And why does it have to come out so late?

I'm with you guys. I love the Pride fighters and all but more current UFC fighters just makes career mode that much better.

Off the top of my head, notable fighters missing are Gustaffson, Rumble, Ellenberger, Story, Hendricks and Lauzon. I'm guessing they finalized these rosters quite some time ago since there's guys like Gonzaga and Valencia who were cut some time ago.

Yeah, and here I was assuming it got pushed back a month to give them time to add the Strikeforce guys when the Showtime deal fails to get renewed.
