i love carlyle and the culture he's trying to implement with the team that's why i find it soooooooooo hard rooting against him and the group

with wilson i was rooting for us to lose weeks and weeks ago for the sake of the tank, cause i knew he'd be gone anyway

I'm starting to like Forsberg with our pick. He is a center right?

1. CLB - Yakupov (duh)
2. EDM - Grigorenko (they get greedy, + he is bpa)
3. MTL - Galchenyuk (they need a #1 C)
4. NYI - Murray (need of D)
5. MIN - Dumba (personally they seem like they would take Forsberg, but their D needs another dimension)
6. TOR - Forsberg (Burke will probably send him back to Sweden for 1 more year)

We have the 5th pick. The best player to each team is debatable.

no, he is a winger, but could take faceoffs

nonetheless, i think he is our guy ...
Gally wont be going that high anymore, unless he continues to impress (scored a goal last game)

Best scenario played out tonight for the Leafs. Tampa won and Oilers got a point (just 5 points behind them -- unreal how much this team has fallen). Minny wins their game in comeback fashion and are now tied with a game on us.

we need to do some serious losing in the next 7 games. you just know this team will beat the habs on the final day, so we need to make some space before then.

Da ****, what happened to us taking Galchenyuk? The dudes drive and determination is just amazing. If it wasn't for injury he'd be going #2. I want Gally so bad he's going to be a beaut and a #1 center, Something the leafs lack. If Gally is on the board you take him no questions asked.

If it's b/w Galchenyuk/Forsberg who do you guys prefer?

IMO It's Galchenyuk.

content with either. I would prefer Galchenyuk because of our need for a center.

Into top 6 position.... that is huge!!

Looks like we would be picking the remainder of Forsberg, Dumba, or Galch. Not really keen on Dumba cause he plays a more high risk style that if anything we have too much off, but Forsberg or Galchenyuk would be huge

Forsberg for me now. I don't want to risk that pick on a player who has a history of injuries, especially one that kept him out for a whole season.

I'll take the safe Swedish top line/2nd line winger.

Or one of the Dumba/Murray/Reinhart.

Galchenyuk all day erry day. He'd be the PERFECT and I can't stress PERFECT enough, addition to the Leafs up front in between Kessel. Instantly gives us the size and high end playmaking skill we need on the top line.

Leafs are 5th last. Win the lottery and they can draft 1st overall.

It was a freak accident, his skate got caught in a rut behind the net and he went down awkwardly. He has not had a history of injury at all before that, in fact he played every game last season.

Same situation here man.

We're tanking pretty well now and I can't see us winning many of our remaining games. Dare I say we have a chance at Grigorenko? I think we certainly do with our schedule and the way this group looks.

Ya man, Forsberg for sure! The Swedish posters have nothing but great things to report. A couple times I have heard them say that he's the best offensive talent since Nik Backstrom in 2006. Pretty high praise.

Freak or not, it doesn't matter.

For example, if my skate got caught behind the net and I torn my ACL, there is a much larger chance that that injury could possibly reoccur if I pull it, or fall down akwardly again.

Just my 2 cents. I would still love Gally, don't get me wrong. Just not if Forsberg, Dumba, Murray, etc are still available

I would be disappointed if we chose Murray.

I would take a chance on Galchenyuk. Saw him up close a few times last year and I am sold. This kid fills a huge hole in our organization and it would be totally worth it. Injuries or not, I'd still take him high.
