Definitely.

I don't advocate trading Pleks unless we receive an overpayment, that being said it's going to be difficult to find the depth signings required to give Eller some solid offensive line mates that can play both ends of the ice. I'd kind of like to see Leblanc in Hamilton full-time centering Gallagher.

You also need a lot of skill. Most of the top teams have 2-3 very good skilled d-men.

Why would be difficult? Sign a pretty good UFA...Semin if we can get him while his price is lower, or maybe a guy like Penner as a reclamation project. Then put Bourque-Eller-Moen

Two shorthanded goals as well, he's certainly progressing, whether it's as quick as some would like is another question.
Yeah, he's pretty close to having has many goals this year as points last year. I like how he's progressing. Incremental improvement is usually sustainable over the long run. He's a solid top 9 forward now.

One has to think the risk in signing Semin will be relatively large, or atleast I would think.

Some teams are going to be desperate for offense, he's going to get KHL offers.. I don't see him getting any less than a 6M per yr/ for min 5 yrs on the open market. Is his recent struggles just a blip on the radar or is he another Frolov? As talented as he is, I'd stay away from that.

Never Penner, I don't like Semin either but he's better than Penner.

I actually think Leblanc made is time. IF, he can add weight/speed/strenght he can be good. He has the mental game to play right now and we see it he just need the body to make the plays.
I actually like Semin(I don't like the player) at a low price(Below 5) if it ever happens(doubt it) and Gionta could play 3rd line or even Bourque.

Yep.. The team needs offense.. But im jhust glad Ovi goes is kind of producing lately. I don't like him at all. But this leagues needs more superstars like he was. we need the big three back (Crosby Malkin Ovi)

There's a difference between taking one odd game out of the equation and taking multiple games out.

In mathematics, you do take out of the odd balls when tallying stats.

that's exactly what i've been thinking

cole-dd-maxpac
eller-grigorenko-gionta (gionta should help the 2 young guns with offensive potential)
bourque-plekanec-moen/leblanc (our shutdown line with our best shutdown C)
staubitz/moen-white-darche/leblanc/geoffrion
