The Caps had a lead and didn't put a shot on net for 17 ****ing minutes in the third. The refs are NOT to blame here.

He needs to get more good sleep. He starts off like a house on fire and then just little embers at the end.

**** Dale Hunter. I'm tired of his ****ing bull ****. If he wouldn't have had them sit back like they did it would have been 5 or 6 to 2. Instead we play his idea of a good 3rd period and lose. He's a ****ing embarrassment and he's making this team one too. He's a ****ing idiot and if it weren't for him we'd have 2 more points right now from the last 2 games and be in 7th place. **** him. He's ****ing brutal.

Missing the playoffs would be good for this team. They need a wakeup call. Making the playoffs and getting bounced isn't going to be it - it won't hit Leonsis in his pocketbook. We miss the playoffs, changes will be made.

I would be interested to see what Johnson would do in the head spot.

If you are blaming this loss on a goalie interference non call I don't know what to tell you...

Someone should make an Ovechkin gloating thread on the main boards. Oh wait.

We fizzled in the third. Whatever the trainers are putting in the water is not working.

May just ripped the coaching staff saying exactly what we are saying here. Why in the hell are we playing prevent D with reduced lines on the tail end of a back to back? Playing man on man D (which requires more energy) no less.

Ridiculous.

Not really rooting one way or another but I find a lot more upside in them missing the playoffs. Hard to see them making a run as constituted and it may be the only way the decision-makers wake the hell up and stop deluding themselves.

This wasn't a case of the team not having anything to give in the 3rd. This was the coaching staff telling them to let the Jets have the puck all period long and not even try to play offense.

As soon as the Jets tied it up what do you know the Caps can suddenly play offense again. Shocker...

Well thanks DH for ****ing us over again. Unbelievable how many times he can mismanage a lead and OT's. But I'm still not as pessimistic as some of you guys. Don't give up on the team, not their fault DH is doing his best to sabotage our chance at the playoffs. Maybe CHUCK GORMLEY will call him out on it. One of these reporters got to have some balls. I'm going to go throw up. Good night.

You could tell after the peg tied it in the third that the caps again quit sitting back and went back to offensive pressure. I agree it's 100% a coaching thing, but then again isn't this the actual first time we have lost playing this hunter sit back method and hang on to the 1 goal lead?

If Backstrom makes it back and they get destroyed in the playoffs, I think that'll do it. Otherwise, the ole injury excuse.

If u cant protect a 3-goal lead at home against a team which has struggled on the road, and while you are playing for your playoff lives, then yes, you probably don't deserve to be in the playoffs. That is the 2nd time this year we had the Jets dead in the water waiting to be finished off. I'm so frustrated, i don't even know what to say.
