Dude. It was a joke. Calm down. Also, if you missed the media attention hockey got during Worlds and after Thoresens allstar award, I don't know where you've been.

FYI, after Zuke came back and played well this spring, I happily admited to being wrong about him being finished with the Rangers.

Now if you want to get personal in the future, feel free to pm me. I'm sure the rest of the boards are quite uninterested.

O huge shock for all the Zuke-fans i Norway. Norwegian hockey experts say the former Oilers and Flyers player Patrick Thoresen is a better player than Mats Zuccarello.

Thoresen is having a great World Championship in Sweden with 14 points in 6 games, 2nd overall only 2 points behind Malkin for Russia. He has also played extremely well in KHL since he left Flyers and the NHL.

I would imagine this is hurting a lot of feelings amongst hockey fans in Norway
IMO Thoresen over Zuccarello is an argument you could make, though you could make the same argument with Immonen vs someone like Korpikoski and the end of last years tourney. Any team picking Immonen over Korpikoski, who's younger and still improving, would have made a mistake. One tourney doesn't make/break a player and the KHL isn't the NHL.

Did Zucc get himself in trouble?

Quote:
Strangley, though Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello (broken wrist) said on May 8 he was no more than two weeks away from being available, the Norwegian remained with the recent AHL callups on Monday and did not skate with the Rangers in the morning even as an option to join the lineup. As far as I know, Zuccarello has not had a setback. Maybe his setback was telling me he was no more than two weeks away, instead of holding the company line like Dubinsky did on Monday?

He has been skating with the AHL guys since last week.

How many more games would Zuccarello have to play for the Rangers before they would have to put him on the waivers list should they decide to send him back to Connecticut?

Could this have a personell-strategic impact on whether or not to play him now considering the possible number of games remaining in the playoffs (11)?

I'm not very knowledgable about the way the NHL system works. Is this question even relevant now that his contract is up for renegotiation?

that's weird, the article i read from May 9th said "at least 10 days away" and not "no more than 2 weeks away." someone is getting their info wrong here.

I havent read Zooks use the phrase "no more than" in any of the previous articles about his injury. Is it possible that Zooks words regarding 2 weeks were confused a bit in this latest blog?

60 games. But when he reaches the 2 year mark for signing his contract he is waiver eligible. He signed aroundt mai 25th, 2010. So this will be in a few days.

Why on earth should Thoresen leave CKA St.Petersburg and KHL for NHL? He is earning around 2.4 million dollars a year, some say it is taxe free, but at the most 13% taxes.
Which team in NHL will pay him more? gross and net?
And his wife and children realy thrives there in St.Petersburg.
He is one of Norways best-paid athletes.
I think he is,exately like Zucc,a better fit for the big european ice.

Zuccarello said he was about 2 weeks away from May 8-9 which is this week. He was having trouble shooting the puck which shouldn't be an issue on this team.

The only reason I could think of would be prestige. How high that'd rank with a guy who has a family that's apparently found a home in Russia I don't know, but if he was to leave after next season I would guess that'd be the reason.

I also heard talk of CBJ wanting Holos back due to his strong play in the world cup recently..
