The scream of joy Stapes let out after his goal was epic! Man, what a comeback! I know, not exactly as good as we needed, but I'll take the one point gain anyway. That was just another magic moment for this season! Win tomorrow boys! DO IIIIIIIIIT!

Excellent win after a poor start. Playoffs or not, that was an encouraging game. The "4th" line played very well. Machacek and Maxwell (2pts for him) playing for jobs. Nice.

Re-signing Fehr does not mean that Machacek won't be here.

BUT HOW ABOUT SPENCER ****ING MACHACEK!! ****, it feels good to be right sometimes ATL fans were high on him, I jumped on board right away in TC, gotta love this guy. Drives the net, was hitting, motor running at 110% all night every night. I was given some odd replies when I said he HAD to be here next year, I think most will agree now right? I know this is very petty of me, but damn I feel good about this one (I called Jets bottom 5, out of playoff contention by late Jan. I called Fehr to get 15g in 60gp. I said Mason would be a joke. So that should even it out right, I am wrong lots )

How about Stapleton with the snipe to win. Since this is OT we are still a longshot at best people, let's keep that in mind, but without at least the OT win, it was lights out. HOPE LIVES!!!!

WHew, that was nerveracking. Nice to see the way they rallied after our first goal! Good job by all the lines, needed to be able to roll all the lines with the next game tomorrow night.

Good times, see you all same time tomorrow!

Edit: ok, the calls are starting on radio, gotta stick around for a couple of these! Friday = Beer = Entertaining calls!

Looks like NHL.com jumped the gun on this one...

Maybe they figured this because of our 4th line effort

Mason's pads are giving me a w**dy.

Already, who can come up with a clever caption for what mason is saying to burmi?

Great effort by the boys tonight, so proud of them. What a lovely feeling this is.

Don't think I've ever seen the Jets look quite so ecstatic after a win either.

Holy cow it's ugly over on the Caps boards. Fire the GM, the coach and the coaching staff. One person suggested that somebody should take a blunt object to George McPhee's head.

I was laughing out loud reading the posts - starting from page 14.

A loss is much easier to take when the Jets play that hard - what an effort.

All of mine would involve a infraction or deleted post. Or both.

I had to work til 8, so I only caught the last 10 minutes of the 3rd and OT. All I have to say is great comeback!

Its nice to finally come back from a 3rd period deficit and finally get 2 points, unfortunately the Caps still got one. But overall I am very happy with the results from today

I love the heart this team shows! I thought that Noel should have played that line a bit more earlier in the game as they had two good shifts but didn't play much till later in the third. These boys are beauties!
PS - Enstrom, SHOOT THE PUCK!

Machecek was great tonight. I especially enjoyed his celebration after he scored - so much excitement for the importance of this game despite the fact he could be sent back to the AHL any day now. I really hope he makes it next year out of training camp.

The Stapler was awesome tonight as well. Doing what staplers do, stapling stuff down, taking care of business.

Yeah, I thought that maybe they should have pulled the goalie. Man am I ever glad they didn't!

The team really gutted it out tonight. Still hope for the team and the fans with this win compared to what the mood would've been with a sure loss.

WHOOOO!!! WE'RE STILL ALIVE!! I got a bit disappointed when we were down 0-3 but after Noel called a timeout, it just seemed to lit a fire under the player's *****.

Other than the early part of the 2nd period the Jets played fairly well and the third was unbelievable. This performance surprised and delighted me.

Were we streak breakers again? TSN had mentioned that only Boston and Washington had not lost when leading heading into the 3rd period.

I don't know if this stat included OT and SO's.
