*The John Mitchell Support Thread!*

I know he hasn't been playing his best hockey as of late, but he is on the team and he deserves our support! I dedicate this thread to you, Mr. Mitchell! Keep your chin up, sir! You are part of this NY Rangers team and I support you through thick and thin!

Post any positive videos of Mitchell here, or any positive words of love for John! He needs us!

He's been fine most of the season. He had an awful game last night. The way he responds tonight is the indicator.

So a guy has one bad night and you'll start calling for his head
He's played well for us all season for someone coming up from the minors.

it just goes to show the lack of solid prospects in the AHL ..and they pick Mitchell over a player like Bourque or Wellaman you have issues in the minors...heck id rather give Andrew Yogan a shot over Mitchell at this point...

If he would simply learn that he has line mates on the ice and not try to stick handle through the entire opposition that would be a great step in the right direction.

His abilities are limited.

Pretty simple game plan. Pass the puck to a more skilled line mate, work the corners, crash the net and back check.

The scrub couldn't make the Leafs. He shouldn't be on the Rangers either.

You are comparing Del zotto to Mitchell? Good Grief.

I'm still trying to figure out what traits Mitchell has that makes him useful to this hockey team.

He's not good offensively... he holds onto the puck way too long and would be better served simplifying his game instead of pretending he's a skill player.

He certainly isn't good defensively. He doesn't possess any qualities that 4th liners should have... he isn't physical or hard-hitting and his forechecking is mediocre.

I feel like it was a matter of time before he got exposed. We've been relatively fortunate that his turnovers from his dipsy-doodling hasn't resulted in more goals against but it cost us last night.

It is unfortunate, but Mitchell's being up on the Rangers does nothing other than show the terrible lack of depth in the Rangers organization. He does not belong in the NHL.

first in the East terrible depth, lol.........listen Mitchell drives me nuts too but he earned a spot on the team. I just rather have him as a spare F.........that is the worst part of the Zuccarello injury they cant take Mitchell our for Fedotenko now.

I hope we see Chris Kreider now

Good forechecker, strong cycler, above average hockey IQ, hardworker, patience, NHL caliber shot.

Unfortunately he isn't fast or doesn't have sufficient puck control skills to pull off the plays he wants to. Instead of stick handling, he should just dump it. He never got over the habit of over stick handling because he can get away with it in the AHL.

The one he kicked in yesterday was plain dumb - you can't really attribute that to anything but a brain fart.

What has he done except for a couple of games? Nothing. At least Boyle's a great penalty killer. Mitchell is useless to begin with that when he has a game like last night he crosses over complete and utter garbage.
