That’s our goal and we got that tonight, so we’ll enjoy it for another couple minutes and then we’re going to move on for Saturday against Boston.’’ (on the teams matching save for save, hit for hit…) “For no goals scored, I think that was a pretty exciting game. There was a quick pace, a lot of hits, you got a fight there in the second. It was an exciting game.’’ (on reaching the top of the division…) “That means nothing if we don’t win on Saturday. We know what it’s like out there. We know how tight it is. Everything we do, from tonight until Saturday, is all about Saturday’s game, getting ready for that game. That’s all we’ve got to do."

Right now, we want to make sure we keep this going.’’ (on beating the NHL’s top team…) “I think it’s just hard work. They outworked us in the first period. We had three shots on net. We weren’t even close to being around the net, and being in the areas where you score goals. After that, I had a few chances and didn’t come through today, but that’s what we’ve got to create, the offensive zone and going to the net a lot more than we were in the first. We responded in the second and the third. I thought we were around the net. We had some chances but we couldn’t capitalize. It doesn’t matter, I guess, giving up a point to St. Louis, since they’re in first. We just want to make sure we get the two points.’’ (on Jonathan Quick’s game…) “I don’t know if we have to talk about that, really. [smiles] He’s been great the whole season. The windmill save he made with three minutes left, that’s where you know that he’s going to hold the zeros on the board, and all you have to do is get one. He’s done that for us all year. We’re going to need him. We’re going to need him for sure."

In the other games, the only thing you can hope for is regulation games, no overtime and no shootouts. If we take care of our own business, we’ll be fine.”
(on the penalty kill in overtime…) “I thought we did a good job of communicating out there and sorting things out, making sure we’re in the right spots and the right lanes. They missed the net of a couple there and we had a couple good clears so it was good.” (on Jonathan Quick’s game…) “He’s been making big saves all year. We needed him tonight. We didn’t have our full 60-minute effort tonight but we found a way to win and get two points."

Both of them made a lot of big saves, ours in the first and theirs in the second. And killing penalties too.’’ (on the overtime penalty kill…) “Well, when it’s 4-on-3, it’s pretty much, tee it up and hammer it, right? So you’ve got to have the courage to face it.’’ (on whether the Kings and Blues are similar teams…) “Not really. They’re in first place.’’ (on getting to the top of the division…) “It was part of the master plan. [laughs] No, it’s not quite that easy.’’ (On knowing the Blues would have a strong first period…) “They come at you hard. There ain’t no way around it. It ain’t about little boys in the first period.’’ (on improving in the second period…) “We have to continue to work at forging that identity, that whole compete, commitment thing.’’ (on picking the shootout shooters…) “Actually, the guys that I picked tonight, I picked them before the last game. It was similar type goalies, and guys who have had maybe a little bit of success. Lots of different things go into it. Those are the three guys that, quite honest, have had the most success, if you look at percentages, for our team. It’s two righties and a lefty. You get to know goalies, what some of their trends are."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Hey Claude, you should really give Thomas a rest and give Turco the start. I hear he does pretty well against the Kings. C'mon, what do you say?

If I told you in December; that the Kings would have 86 points, and the Bruins would have 87 by Late march. what would you have said ?
O how the mighty have stumbled.

It really is eye opening, the Bruins have been a below .500 team for the last 40 games.
Put it this way, if they didn't have that unreal stretch they went on early in the year....
They might be out of a playoff spot right now.

I think Turco should play as well.
He knows the Kings so he will give the Bruins that edge.

Didn't realize the two teams were so close in the standings. Let's take them down another notch. GO KINGS!

PUCK! What are you thinking, it's not even midnight here in Central Time Zone, nevermind Pacific. This is bad luck. Kings lose, all of the blame needs to be directed at Puck U!! Disappointed in you buddy
Anyways, every streak has to come to an end. If it's against an Eastern team that's probably best. Another game the Kings can "afford" to lose. So no suicides if we lose, ok? But still
GO KINGS!!!

I picked the Kings only winning Seven(with about 4 OT losses) Games this month. Basically the season coming down to the last three games of the year.
The Kings have eight wins so far this month, they are ahead of what I thought they would do. But I still expect the season (Division/Playoffs) to come down to those last two games against San Jose.
The script just feels like it is already written.

We need shots and shots early. Get to Thomas and chase him so we can see our old pal Turco. It's been a while since Staples rang out in "Tuuuuuurrrrrrrrcoooooooooooooo" chants.
