See Kostopoulos on the 4th line, so happy. Look a bit further down, see Butler on top D pairing, not happy.

Why who the hell else is going to play there?

If its Gio we only have 1 solid defensive pairing.

Hannan/Babs/Wilson cannot handle it.

Butler wins by default and has done very well for us this season.

Lucky, you get to listen to Peter Maher on the radio rather then that big nerd Kerr.

I guess i didnt think about the fact that Smith and Brodie are out, but I still think Butler is just horrendous

Yeah, I know... it's just hard to get excited by this team these days. By all logic we should be seeing extreme high intensity, playoff caliber games at this point but the last few games have been incredibly unentertaining. Also it's an afternoon game in Dallas so I'd be surprised if today's when they turn on the engines for good. Hope I'm wrong!

Cammalleri is in Dallas btw and might play tonight!

This is more appropriate. Half the GDT shows up for the game, then disappears mid-way through the second when the other GDT goes on the PP.

I don't want to be a dick but Butler has been very solid for us, he isn't flashy and is not a number 2 defenseman but he has handled it pretty well and is far superior to Brodie or Smith at this point in their careers ( I don't think Smith will ever be more than a #6).

I guess you could call this the last "straw" for the Flames. A must win game!

Go Flames go!

I feel good about this game.

Big game and a must win against Dallas.

Ya I hate the ignorance directed at Butler, I can't even imagine what Smith or Brodie would look like playing top minutes. All I know is it wouldn't be pretty.

Smith was paired with Bouwmeester for a game. It wasn't pretty.
