Jokinen has been some kinda awful lately. I'd be extremley wary of giving him any sort of longterm contract, especially one where we're tied down by a NMC.
The most important stretch of games and he has completley disappeared.

absolutely. imo he's playing himself out of a contract.
In the year he has been here he has moved out Regehr and Bourque and think he is moving the core out at a pretty good rate.
Yeah and I for one totally think he needs couple more years before we can critisize him....But still look for players who care to win for the team rather than for there paycheques...And maybe thats what he will do. I am just putting my thoughts out there.

Thats fair enough I thought you were mocking him thats all. I remember when Feaster was fired people said it would take a miracle or several of our first rounders to solve or cap problem it cost Feaster 2 second rounders(well really 1) to remove the cap problems he has done pretty well given what he was to work with.

Curtis Glencross is following suit. That second line has been a huge liability the past five or six games. They are constantly pinned down in the defensive zone, and cant complete a pass to save their lives.

Tough to watch...
True, but with Glencross I'm seeing the physicality, the blocked shots. With Jokinen, he's just looking completely apathetic right now.
You have to wonder if it might be a matter of fatigue. Certainly not enough to excuse the complete liability, but little by little Jokinen is basically regressing into his shell that Sutter worked so hard to get him out of.
