Your team scored a goal, in fact its Ovechkin, put out the damn 4th line so we can of course maybe get a fast 2nd one.
The other team scores a goal, send out the 4th line, the 4th line will clearly respond with a goal.
The other teams 4th line iced the puck and they have no time out and they look kinda tired, well our 4th line is the shutdown line, so put out the 3rd line!
Show no signs of emotion or even physical movement on the bench because players don't need positive/negative reinforcement after their shifts.
Gamechangers don't really do anything in OT and Ovi scoring 8goals in 6 games isn't much so let's start Beagle in OT.
If we're in the lead at any point in the game, we've won the game. There's no such thing as a comeback in the NHL so let's just chill in our zone till the game's over. Desperate teams usually give up.
Hendricks is by far our best player so whatever line he's on, that line should get the most TOI regardless of how well the other lines are doing.
Mojo and Aucoin are really tough players, 4th line for them.
No Mike Green
No Nick
No OV by his standards or anyones
No Carlson (He has been MIA all season)
No Steady presence in net.
No Semin (Another down season)
The list can go on
Top to bottom the division is stronger then anytime in the past six seasons.
And he is about to get this mess into the playoffs.

Like it or not he may be here to stay.
Carlson before Hunter was the highest scoring dman on the team and was a +11 and Alzner was a +12. At that time I think only them Ward and Chimera were the only + players on the team.
Offense clicks, scores 3 goals in the first half of the game = change everything up. Line change any time you get the offensive zone.
Among other things like just totally sit back and cling on desperately to the lead..milk the clock. ugghh
Its funny b/c if you listened closely both Laughlin and May made references (slight b/c afterall they work for the team and can't be too critical..ask Mike Fornes) to their displeasure about being passive. They made those comments on multiple occassions too so they see what the rest of us are seeing..well..outside of RH! Sorry buddy..had to out you on this one! lol
the return of carlson and alzner. maybe thats a sign of something.
ovechkin and johasson created a goal. semin was allowed to select god mode.
green and backstrom are a combined 24 games. 0g 1a.
and....the coach changed the power play to try and get green going then changed lines to try and get backstrom going.
note: to get backstrom going they moved him from ovechkin to semin.
you know....i dont care from here out. just win more games than you lose from here out

I would like to see Backstrom/Semin/Laich together. That line has come thru for us many times in the past.
Ovechkin/Johansson together seems to work too...but it would create a problem down the middle for sure if Laich/Backstrom are on the same line.
A shutdown Carlzner pairing is HUGE. I love how they play against the Croz for example.
I am pretty comfortable with the Green/Hamrlik duo too. Hamrlik is the best partner Green has ever had altho he is not perfect by any stretch.
Semin really needs to get tons of PT. He has been excellent.
Also..while I'd like to see Ward in the lineup I just don't think Aucoin wants to relinquish his spot. His play on the ice makes it hard to sit him down.
I say this as a guy wants them to do well this year (because of my pool lol). But seriously, they've completely lost their aura of dominance. They look like a team terrified to make mistakes.
The talent is still there, but they simply don't respond to that "system". Long gone are the days where every single shift, you felt like they could score. They were one of the most exciting team to watch, even for Caps haters.

True. In this system you sort of hold your breath as soon as the puck changes hands in the other team's defensive zone.
