This is a GDT, so we'll discuss what is yet another HUGE game for the Jets rather than the Atlanta-Winnipeg relocation.

Carry on.

Just watched that highlite reel and its awesome. I just love Stapleton's scream after he wins it and Machacek looked like he was about ready to jump out of his skin after he tied it up. Lots of emotion on this team - you can tell many of them really really want to find a way into the playoffs...

Absolutely, right. I think I'll check back in tomorrow. Tough doing this on the phone anyway, or so it seems.

Whatever people are saying wrt Nashville fans being anti-Canadian is categorically false.

Perhaps on internet boards (which don't really reflect real life guys )

I was down there last spring to watch a Preds/ Canucks playoff game. The people in Nashville were the most friendly, welcoming, awesome people. They knew we were Canadian and were super nice to us.

As a matter of fact I find American fans generally a lot nicer than Canadian ones TBH. In my travels I've always experienced that.

As for the game, I don't know how the guys are going to muster another performance like *most* of last night. They must be physically and mentally exhausted after that 3rd, but this is our game in hand on Washington, Buffalo, and yes, even Ottawa who in case you haven't noticed have floundered and would only be 4 points up on us if we win tonight.

We need to score first, and we need Pavelec to be a beast.

Go Jets Go!

If the Jets win and the Sabres lose to the Wild, my belief in playoffs will take a major step in the right direction. If the Sens lose, the Sabres lose and the Jets win, my belief in the great Ottawa collapse will also take a step in the "right" direction. If anyone called 4-3 Jets in OT with Machechek, Maxwell, Stapleton and Little as goal scorers yesterday, well, then let's just say I'm calling 3-2 Jets tonight...Machechek, Bogosian and Miettinen.

WE CAN STILL DO THIS!!!

Some good HF vbookie odds available on the Jets tonight:

168/100 (1.68)

Just sayin'.

OT, but I'd like to thank Chris Neil of the Sens for taking 33 minutes in penalties last night, made it a huge night for my hockey pool

I'm hoping to see even more from the Waiver Line again tonight, going to call 3-1 Jets, with another day of one a piece from Stapleton, Machacek, and Maxwell.

I've been imagining the scene if that game had been at home. Part of the ice surface would've been blocked off on TV with the fans jumping up and down so high.

I think it's a matter of people most places being friendly to visitors. For one, you're going out of your way to visit their home because you feel there's something nice about it and you're spending money there. Secondly, you're out of your element and people are generally pretty helpful if they feel you need help. For example, you'd help out an American visiting Winnipeg more than you'd help out someone from Saskatchewan. I believe that explains your last statement.

Generally everyone is annoying on forums if you disagree with them. There's probably the same proportion of Nashville fans who think Winnipeg hates the south as there are Winnipeg fans who think Nashville fans are anti-Canadian, neither of which are generally true.

You know what guys, I don't think the playoffs is worth all this stress. I mean, who the hell wants to watch hockey in June?

Since I haven't watch the original Predator in a long long time (despite it being great), I'll do this for "Predators"...

Andrew Ladd - Adrien Brody (Leader)
Tobias Enstrom - Topher Grace (Creepy Doctor with precision strike)
Dustin Byfuglien - Laurence Fishburne (Crazy ass one man show that has all the talent, no yet little work ethic to help)
Alex Burmistrov - Louis Ozawa Changchien (Crazy little guy with sick moves)
Mark Stuart - Danny Trejo (Crazy ass enforcer)
Evander Kane - Alice Braga (The sniper)
Nik Antropov - Oleg Taktarov (The brute force Russian)
Spencer Machacek - Walton Goggins (Death Row inmate with a second chance and nothing to lose)
Ondrej Pavelec - Mahershalalhashbaz Ali (Sacrifices it all to let the team escape/compete)

Let's kill us some PREDATORS!!!!
