Eh I thought Ward had been fine down the stretch this year up until last nights game. But I'm honestly hoping it's Boucher. The playoffs are prettymuch toast and Ward could use a night off after what happened last night.
FWIW, before last nights game Cam was 317 of 341 for this month, good for a .930 sv%
Yeah Wardo had been deing pretty great. We might as well let Boucher play now, and try to get him used to playing in games again. A little play after that injury can't hurt now
On the bright side:
"Remember that slow start to the season by Carolina Hurricanes captain Eric Staal (12 points in his first 27 games, league worst minus-18)? He has 41 points (14 goals, 27 assists) in the 35 games since Jan. 1 and is plus-nine. He has moved into the top 20 in league scoring, a pretty remarkable resurgence." -- [http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/NHL...slam!%20hockey]
I have high hopes for next year. As long as the team gets going before Christmas.
I've let my feelings be known about Winnipeg but I still don't want them to win the division.. They're not a southeast team and if they did, i'm sure we would hear about it from all the few obnoxious fans that have on HF... I actually like a few of their fans and happy they have a team again... but I don't want to hear how the mighty Canadian team with the most passionate fans whipped on the rural, doesn't know what hockey is, southern teams...
All that said, only team I want winning our divison is us lol.
Agreed on that one. The majority of the Jets fans on here are chill (though they have a few douchecanoes and even more over-zealous posters, but the later will calm down over the next couple years) and their mods are especially so from all interactions I've had with them. And of course they have Guerzy, so they got that going for them as well.
The problem's not the fans, it's the narrative that their media is feeding them seemingly on a daily basis, which frankly is bordering on flat out unprofessional.
There's no way Winnipeg is making the playoffs. They have the toughest schedule of all the bubble teams down the stretch.
Only debate I have is what 2 of Washington, Ottawa, and Buffalo get in. The way the Sabres are playing right now it's hard to imagine them not being one, even though for obvious reasons I'd prefer Washington and Ottawa.

Ottawa is so streaky that if they win a game soon, I think they'll get in by going on a run... They're not a team that wins then loses then wins... And they still have the two pt lead and a small chance of getting northeast.
I think it really boils down to that Sabres/Caps game...
Also, as for tonight's game, I really want a win here. I hate the Red wings almost as much as the Devils. Too bad I'll be grocery shopping for like the whole first period.
The first post in the Wings GDT says we have a 0% chance of winning. I was kinda hoping we'd lose out and maybe move up in the draft, but after that, LET'S GO 'CANES!!!!!!!!
Who cares if we drop a spot or two in the lottery, let's become the mother in law of all spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
