Laurinaitis : David Otunga, Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Christian, ??? (my choice = Alberto Del Rio)
Long : Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, ??? (my choice = Rey Mysterio)
I really don't know what will be Miz's role at Wrestlemania if there is no place for him in this match...

My guess is Miz screws Rock out of a victory at Mania, leading to a match at Summerslam

Mania matches don't work like that. Unless Cena heel turns with it, that's a terrible ending. I'm sure you probably agree.
I really hope they stay away from that. People want to see this "once in a lifetime" match. What is Austin came in and ruined the Rock/Hogan match. Wouldn't that have been strange?
Wow.. I digressed quite a bit there. They need star power in this match and they need it quickly. I'm hoping Mick Foley gets to be in it. I see a new shirt pop up for him on WWEShop.com.
EDIT: Added part of article here since link won't work. It's from Bleacher Report.
If not, I see Miz coming out to complain about not having a match and getting beat by either Lord Tensai or Brodus Clay.
Quote:
Most would probably expect Miz to take a spot on Team Johnny since Laurinaitis' squad is going to have all heels, but he continues to fail in his attempts to impress the interim RAW general manager. With that in mind, expect the creative team to throw a curveball by having Long form a reluctant alliance with Miz and adding him to his team.
With Miz on the face team he would get face reactions throughout the match and tease a face turn as well. He will likely be the focal point of the match and a thorn in the side of Laurinaitis' team. Just when it looks like Team Teddy is about to pick up the win, however, Miz will turn on his partners and find a way to help Team Johnny reign victorious.
In the end it would be revealed that Miz and Laurinaitis were working together all along and the only reason why Laurinaitis wouldn't allow Miz on his WrestleMania team was so he could take down Team Teddy from the inside.
I don't see the Rock wasting his time with the Miz. And I don't see the Rock wasting his time with a screwjob finish after a year-long build up.
The Rock lost to the Hurricane (sure there was a distraction by Stone Cold but it wasn't big) so I think you don't have to book a screwy finish with him.
Alberto del Rio said in an interview that he was originally supposed to be in a match against Randy Orton. WWE scrapped that for Kane and told del Rio he'd be in the Team Long vs Team Johnny match. Apparently last week they told him he wouldn't be needed at Wrestlemania.
So I'm clueless to the final members. Miz and Mysterio?
So hypothetically 2 guys who were in the world title matches last year are gonna be left off Mania.
I still think Del Rio gets added tomorrow because he's the only #6 that makes sense (Miz does too) and he has worked house show loops the last few weekends so he is ready. Mysterio is a huge question mark because I have not heard a legit update on him one way or the other about his status. I have read he's not close and I have also read he is scheduled to appear, so who knows.
I want Mysterio and one of Del Rio/Miz. We'll probably get one of Booker/Brodus and one of Del Rio/Miz.
Del rio isn't my favorite, but ****ing awful usage of the guy. You build him so big, then write him off. Pathetic work. Why even bring him back for elimination chamber!?
He's recovered enough to work house shows the last couple weeks (I have no idea why they have even used him on a few house shows if they aren't gonna bring him back for Mania).
If it was a high risk match like MITB then obviously holding him out would be the correct move, but surly he would be healthy enough to stand on the apron and get some cheap shots, and then peel off to the outside in a fight with one of the faces.
I think if they keep him off they'll do it so they can have him comeback at the draft or something "bigger". Not being on Mania hurts him tremendously. How many guys can say they worked a world title match in their first WrestleMania and then were not even booked the next one? It would be one thing if he was on the shelf since December and he clearly wasn't coming back in time, but they brought him back at the EC and have him at house shows? They were better off just leaving him off TV and house show loops until they knew what they wanted to do (and in classic WWE fashion, they had no clue what they wanted to do and by the time they figured it out the damage was inadvertently done)
Mick Foley is tweeting about it between himself and Miz. So those two could technically take the spots. Would Morrison be a potential return? Would make sense for him to be on Team Long considering the history. It would only work if they plan on letting Team Long win otherwise Morrison returns to regain no revenge.

He's worked short matches at the house shows. This past house show at MSG he beat Mason Ryan in about a minute.
Foley wants to work with Miz, too. I just don't get why they didn't get them on the card quickly for this match? They are perfect opponents for each team and gives it star quality. If they get put in last minute, that's a bad decision. They could have sold that very well.

Exactly.
If he can do that, then he is fully capable of standing on the ring apron, getting occasional cheapshots in the corner, and be in the ring for a minimal amount of time. Gets booked on Mania, gets his Mania payday, and adds another bigger player to the match.
This a perfect match for Del Rio and Rey because they can be present but also be protected because they will have 6 or so other workers carrying the bulk of the work load.
I want to know why the **** Christian was so suddenly pulled off the WrestleMania card. Doesn't make sense to add him on Team Johnny just to feed him to Punk and then pull him off the card.

Christian can't catch a break. I'm starting to think that he just isn't well liked by those in charge.
I just think they didn't want to give him the title match that Ace promised him.
If they're not going to use him in the World Title picture, at least give him a partner and give the Tag Team Division some credibility again. After Bryan drops the belt this Sunday and he's out of re-match clauses or whatever, give a Christian/Bryan team a 4-5 month title run and put over some tag team talent.
Christian getting pulled had nothing to do with politics.
I mean, on TV guys were begging Long and Ace to be on there team, but for Christian they flat out have a Christian fantasy draft for his services.
I just think Christian wasn't ready and WWE (and probably Christian) was banking on 4 1/2 months being enough time, but after 15 years of never being hurt Christian is now WWE's Greg Oden.
This opens up several avenues for Christian whenever he returns. The obvious is a return retaliation on Punk, he could turn face on Laryngitis with the premise that he didn't protect the talent like he said he would, or say Team Ace wins.. Christian is still storyline wise given his O.M.M because afterall team Ace did win (which becoming #1 contender without even working the match would fit for his character).
I mean it's obvious that Vince has never valued Christian as a money guy, but Vince sees what value Christian brings on the talent side of things (he is a flat out workhorse when healthy, in ring General, puts people over, locker room mentor, works the best WWE style on the roster bar none). Christian is what Jim Ross would call "One hell of a hand".
On the plus side, Christian can still limp his ass on the stage and induct Edge into the HOF.
