Well this might be the ultimate bare bones GDT.. no start times, no line up, nothing to confuse or detract the viewers from the urgency of the game, this might represent utilitarianism at it's finest moment... hockey the hard way..

I decided to stop making the proper GDT's until the Coyotes get their act together and pull off a ******** of wins.
Let me go out on a limb and say this is the most important game of the year... along with the Blues x 2, the Sharks again, the Kings, the Wild, the surprising Blue Jackets, the Ducks etc.... .500 hockey will get 93 pts. or so and that might not make it.... there simply isn't room for taking any game anything other than pivotal to a playoff berth- it's time for the vets to take charge.
Scoring early is great, but more than that, I'd like to see the Coyotes torment the Sharks. Play the trap, make their scorers impatient, knock their blueline around whenever possible.
I want to see choppy, smothery goodness that saps SJ of their will to skate. I want to see the crowd's energy fizzle into trap-induced somnolence. I want to see the Coyotes morph into an entertainment black hole from which SJ's stars cannot escape. I want a 2-1 or 1-0 final score in a game so dull that the highlights make the floral prints on Don Cherry's suit spontaneously melt into shapeless blobs of the same color and texture as old burlap. And I want Patrick Marleau to flip the hell out at long last, going fetal at center ice in a spasm of tears, frustration, and wasted talent.

I'm with you, MP. Here's to a night of boring hockey, final score 1-0 coyotes, and I hope San Jose has something like the giant floating taco that will be more exciting than anything on the ice.
But I'd also take a 6-0 blowout where it's exciting for us, but not sj fans.
For some strange reason, I love reading the negative comments on other teams GDTs when they lose (been reading the Flames one after their abysmal performance today). Let's give the sharks fans something to whine about

Not all but a few of them had plenty of negative things to say during this whole bankruptcy mess even before the game started. Just look at some of their past GDT attacks going back 2-3 seasons. Of course that is fair game in their section just like how the same if fair game here.

We probably won't have the fanbase tension before tonights game that we had against Colorado and Dallas. Most of the San Jose fans are alright, so we shouldn't pick a fight unless they start it.
You would be amazed to see how across the globe there are fans of all the NHL teams everywhere.
The one, the only Coyotes fan in the entire country of New Zealand right here. Surely I win when it comes to distance. If you go any further south, you're hitting Antarctica.

So what time are the games on for you? Can you get them through satellite or do you have to find a stream?
If the Coyotes leave next year, I'm not really fond of any other NHL teams. I was thinking about finding a KHL team to follow, knowing that I'll never get to see a game live but somehow that hurts much less than watching my former team play in another city. I'm not sure of the logistics yet...
