I don't care if it was the Canes or the Pens we won, the only thing matters is that we really WON! Finally. I'm relieved.

Well the score was wrong, but my prediction of them winning held true.

The Wings heard my prayers and didnt let me down.

Even as an admitted skeptic of this team, that was one helluva rollercoaster way to snap the skid. Props to the team for not giving up after being down 4-1.

A lot to comment on about tonight's game. Flip n' Z lookin' good, Dats n' Gustav lookin' good, come from behind victory many of us were not expecting. Downside, Cleary continues to frustrate and I believe Miller did not return after taking a shot off of his hand. Great to have Lidstrom back though, content with the regulation win. I'll gladly take it.

Not the ideal Saturday night, but not a bad one either. I think I doubled my post count tonight.

That could be a real turning point. What a game. If only we had respectable special teams.

I've noticed this season, Hudler doesn't have the same accuracy he use to have. He had some easy shots that he should have buried. Please, you haven to finish those one on ones.

If I gave them no credit for going to OT with NYR based solely on the fact that they lost, then to be logically consistent I have to give them credit for beating an atrocious Carolina team in extremely ugly fashion based solely on the fact that they won.

Even if you consider that it's Carolina, nothing left to play for, played last night...aside from those two brainfarts in the 2nd, we clowned them tonight. If not for Ward standing on his head, we win this 10-4.

I think you have to keep Gus in the line-up when Franzen gets back, and prefferably in a top 6 role. As I said in the Gus thread, Detroit desperately needs his quickness on one of it's scoring lines. He looked good with Flip and Hank in New York. He was even better tonite with Pav and Bert. He belongs on one of those lines without wquestion IMO.

In my best Allen Iverson "we're talking about practice?!" imitation.

We're talking about the 4th line? A 4th line that scored 0 goals and registered 0 points? In a game where we scored 4 unanswered goals? And where we outshot the Canes 19-3 in the 3rd? We're talking about the 4th line?! We're really talking about the 4th line?!

-Great game for Z, 2 goals & +3.
-Fil was smooth as hell, 3 assists.
-Welcome back Hudler, 1 goal, 2 assists and +3 as well.
-Nyquist looks good on both scoring lines, he needs to stay up.
-4th line?! The 3rd line generated plenty of scoring chances, scored 1 goal & was +1
-Well other than Dan Cleary. He really needs to get that knee fixed.
-That has to be the bottom for our PK, 2 straight goals on 5on3 and 5on4 PKs.
-Welcome back captain!

Now, if only our special teams could get their act together...

I was actually on the edge of my seat for the whole third period. Wow, what a comeback.

Z and Flip are in clutch form. Nyquist and Datsyuk...what a tandem. Who knew? oh yeah, 99% of the fans on this board. Abdelkader and Miller stepping up in Helm's absence.

I don't even think the 4th line saw any IT in the 3rd period. Can't fault Mursak and Emmerton (even Homer to some degree), but they had to roll with the top 3 lines tonight.

Cleary and Hudler still managing to piss me right off. Three point blank chances for Hudler and he scores on a fluke redirect off his skate. Cleary can't hit the net if his life depended on it. Absolutely brutal. Babcock has to keep his mancrush in check and demote him to the 4th line asap.

On 50 shots? Any other goalie would have given up ten tonight.

Our Odin comes back, not in his best shape, but still, our warriors win this fight.

Gotta be happy.

Man Hudler was great at front of the net. How is that even possible?!

We knew we had to score 4-5 with Conklin in net. But 3 points out of 4 with Conklin in net, I'll gladly take it.
