I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing to have Kadri on a winning, playoff-bound AHL team. But the fact that Timmy and Matty are earning triple or quadruple his salary to do basically nothing for the team has really grinded my gears all year.
If Kadri doesn't make the team next year, management is insane.
I don't think Kadri would have been the difference between making the playoffs or not, but he really should have been up here for the entirety of the year.
No doubt about it, so much for being a 'meritocracy.'
Gusstavvson is a ****ing fish. Look at him swimming around there. Holy cow. He plays like a 15 year old. Honestly. He's done, he's through, good night.
how do you work in young players if the 3rd line is for veteran checkers ?
Have two veteran checkers and young player on the third line? Veteran shows the player the rope, the young guy learns how to play a defensive game, gets comfortable in the NHL, learn to produce in the NHL, and when he's ready, he'll become a top six forward?

Makes total sense but the Leafs knew the window was closing on their Cup chances after this season
Whenever Don has talked about Kadri he's been right. Its too bad the dead weight is taking up unnecessary space so the youngs guys can get ice-time with the leafs.

Didn't we send him down while we had a playoff spot? He was on a winning team when we sent him down and NHL playoff experience > AHL playoff experience.
I'm not saying we wouldn't be in the same situation even if he was on the roster but you never know...
