Bishop out for at least a week

Apparently hes been evaluated this morning, I would hate to see Auld back on the bench

I'm guessing groin injury.

Strictly a guess, though.

Neither Mendes or Garrioch has said anything, I don't think the team's announced it yet.

I would call up Lehner if Bishop can't play. Auld is terrible. We need to make the playoffs, he can't play at all if Anderson is injured.

This. Anderson better be playing the rest of the games if Bishop doesn't come back from this injury before the end of the season or if Lehner doesn't get called up.

I hope for Lehner too. IMO your players dont believe Auld and play with him in the net like our players with Mason. I hope to see you in PO and you cannot lose games.

It is bad idea but I understand. IMO Lehner will be call because Auld can be maximum back-up in AHL, not NHL.

Lehner just had a good game in the AHL, he needs to saty down there and build on it.

Looks like Auld is the backup now...

Duh. That was gonna happen with or without Bishop.

The guy missed a month of hockey, was leading goalies in games played when he got hurt, and there are 6 games left. Do you think we need to rest him for the playoffs?

The only way Auld gets in a hockey game for the Ottawa Senators for the rest of his career is if the starter gets hurt. If Anderson goes down too, Lehner will be called up.

EDIT: That came off kind of *****y. Sorry 'bout that.

Lehrer will be up with the club once Bingo's season is over with. So if need be he can play for us if Andy goes down in the playoffs. With the way Lehner has played lately though, I'd hate to sit him on the bench to watch, Auld is doing a fine job warming the bench as is. Lehner needs the starts and the playing experience, NHL backup duties do nothing for his development.

Ya what the heck is Leclaire doing these days? I noticed him in the tunnels at the Montreal game, just chilling.

Andy needs all 6 games to get ready for play-offs. Unless his finger falls off, keep him in the net. Hopefully Bishop's knee isn't too bad and he can back-up for the play-off run.

This is right if we said about the whole season but not when Sens have 6 very important games to play. Btw, IMO atmosphere these games, practical PO games can help him.

Based on that and that Ottawa does not play until next Sat (aft tonight). I'll guess if Bishop is not ready by next game Lehner will be up to backup

Bring back Lehner.

Bishop is a decent goalie, but Lehner I like Lehner more. He realy impressed me when he played for the Sens.

Why does this matter? Andy is our #1. If anything this is a blessing is disguise, as it kills any goaltending controversy right before the playoffs. This is the first time is years that we haven't had a goaltending controversy, and I don't want that to change right before the playoffs. No need to bring Lehner up to sit on the bench. We have Auld to do that.

Yeah, I don't care who the backup is. Anderson should be starting all of the games down the stretch.

I'm sure Lehner will be up once Bingo's season is over.
