- Nietzsche wasn't influenced by Schopenhauer as much as he destroyed his work and built a new Philosophy to replace it. Nietzsche will often criticize Schopenhauer explicitly in his works so it's no secret or scandal as to how his Philosophy relates to Schopenhauer's.

- The notion that Buddhism is the underlying wisdom in either Schopenhauer or Nietzsche is completely without merit. Nietzsche especially, rejects Buddhism.

Nietzsche himself confirms this conveniently in Also Spracht Zarathustra:

'Whoever has endeavored with some enigmatic longing, as I have, to think pessimism through to its depths and liberate it from the half-Christian, half-German narrowness and simplicity in which it has finally presented itself to our century, namely, in the form of Schopenhauer's philosophy; whoever has really, with an Asiatic and supra-Asiatic eye, looked into, down into the most world-denying of all possible ways of thinking - beyond good and evil and no longer, like the Buddha and Schopenhauer, under the spell and delusion of morality - may just thereby, without really meaning to do so, have opened his eyes to the opposite ideal: the ideal of the most high-spirited, alive, and world-affirming human being who has not only come to terms and learned to get along with whatever was and is, but who wants to have what was and is repeated into all eternity...'
I guess if you consider cocaine being medicinal for the likes of Freud, you can consider it the same for Neitz... you and others are correct in that nothing is original. Freud's psycho-analytic philosophies harken back to ancient Greece. Which to me proves society hasn't grown much since then.

The only philosophy I found somewhat correct from Nietzsche was that we are essentially animals. Bruce Lee reiterates this in long street, but again its origins come from the "east."

Pertaining to what I highlighted... I suppose he was correct in what was is war and what is now is also war.

Crosby made our team look silly pretty much every time he was on the ice.

Karlsson made himself look silly pretty much every time he was on the ice last night.

That said I'm really glad we were able to win anyway. This could be huge in uplifting the team and getting them hot for the playoffs. Slumpbuster I hope.

Because you refuse to yield to the idea that knowledge is both so primitive as to be intuitive, yet also so abstract as to require logic, thereby paradoxically making reality both rational and irrational.

Ohhh right, totally forgot lol. Hilarious, I also remember when I believe it was Rinaldo of the flyers was getting into it with Gonchar and Gonchar pulled his face like he was about to kiss him. A gif of that would be golden.

When I go I get the Valet pass just because of this..

Right after Gonchar fought for the 2nd time in his career. They were showing this on the Pens broadcast.

I heard she gave Crosby a concussion....

Yeah, it wasn't just Thiessen getting rocked, their defense was garbage (exhibit A: The Spezza breakaway). Maybe they just too the night off for some reason, or maybe they didn't have faith in their goalie causing them to play oddly but I wasn't impressed.

I now fully expect the PGT for the Sens vs Jets game to lead into a discussion about post-modernism.

Inside scoop
Unnamed sources say that Stache replayed the opera singer's national anthems full blast in the Sens locker room during the 1st and 2nd period and threatened to force them to listen to them again if they were behind by the 2nd intermission.
